Dear Customers,

Thank you for your patience whilst we’ve developed our 4K restoration plans for David Fincher’s Seven. We’re pleased to announce that the restoration will finally be released in early 2025, with a brand-new 4K scan carefully overseen by Fincher.

We will be releasing two products: a Digipak and a Steelbook release, both developed and designed by the director himself. These products will replace the previously announced What’s in the Box and Ultimate Collector’s Edition versions.

Pre-order for the new products will go live in early November. Apologies again for the delay, and thank you for understanding. We can’t wait for you to experience Seven in more detail and depth than ever before."

What do you find odd on that unboxing?

I find it odd, that an unboxing barely has any unboxing in it - like 5 seconds in the middle - with the rest being an introduction to a movie, as if I was born yesterday, and his thoughts I don't care for.

Yikes. The digipack release doesn't look great either. The set looks to me to be quite thin and cheap. The discs slide in flat as well. Much like the Interstellar release but these slide in horizontally on the left and right. Blu rays are turning into LPs now.

Steelbook could be the better of the two after all. I'm not a fan of the slide in discs. Plus the cardboard seems thin.
Not sure if the J Card is integrated onto the slipcase? I couldn't tell.

Here's a odd unboxing and review the digi release on YT.

Got my digipak today (UK) and both slip and digipak itself have a lovely glossy silver foil finish to them unlike what appears to be a matte finish for those across the pond. It's really nice in hand

J card is indeed separate and ratings logos are easy peel stickers

This thread was originally for both what’s in the box and collector’s editions see the OP spoiler previous cancelled releases
The thread was then updated to show the new info a SteelBook only release
Warner UK went instead with a SteelBook only release and and a limited DigiPack release as per info posted in the OP spoiler

Amazon UK never removed both the listings for What’s in the Box or the Collector’s edition they been live to pre order since December 2023

Amazon forgot to deactivate the listings

These releases as it’s already known was cancelled by Warner UK
