why have they left the batman steels out of this wave if they are to re release the same art do it now

I disagree with some of your comments here. It is still available in Japan and there are 609 left and it is taking some time to go OOP, it's not like it is OOP now and charged rediculous prices. Available and shipped world wide from Amazon.jp.

I am sure most will agree with this but I don't think it is a good idea to re-release an identicle steelbook and a 'good idea for people who missed out'. That destroys the art of collecting. What is point of collecting if they are releasing the same artwork again? I am not against re-releases totallay but it should be a different artwork. These white steelz have been available since March I believe and we had plenty of time last year to get our orders in. No one has missed out, it is studios just being greedy again and do not care about the ethics of collecting.
I understand what you are saying, from a collectors point of view this devalues the hobby and the uniqueness of steelbooks is going. I guess this is inevitable as steelbooks are becoming more mainstream now. I have spent a lot of money in the past and certainly wouldn't pay them prices again knowing the trends of what's happening at the moment. When I said people missed out I also meant those that had to pass because the price was out of there range with the shipping and customs charges. I don't disagree with you though that the studios are being greedy and are trying to flood the market. They don't care about the collectors, they just want to cash in.

Well my JPN ones will be going on eBay shortly!! :(

Why are you ebaying your JPN ones? I would keep them. And with the fees and everything your not gonna get much back and probably make a loss. Plus there is nothing confirmed on the inside art and if it is an identicle steel. One thing to take away is the back data sheet is Japanese so there is some difference at least!

They still command a premium at the moment, so I would at least be able to cover my costs by selling them. With the money I recouped, I could buy two of the UK equivalents.

Pretty gutted these have been re-released over here, it has made me reconsider buying overseas if it's only a matter of time before the UK gets them anyway!

If this will be your second copy, than I understand, if your only one copy then I can't understand this.
Are you a collector or reseller? Have you bought this JP release only with hope earnings on it in the future or because you just like this steelbook and you wanted to have it for yourself?
Now value of these JP white ones will drop a little for sure but I think that they always will be worth more than UK editions, not comparing already the same collector value.
I will never sell my JP whites if I already only have one copy each of them, because for what, to recover a few £ now, I think that for the collector does not make sense at this point.

While I sort of like this artwork I think I'll stick with the digibook which is more in tone with the film. Something sorta bothers me about the cast names - sort of just floating and dumped to fill the white space (that's my designer side criticism)
