BFI (British film institute) releases are excellent. There are normally documentaries and insightful commentary tracks.

I have the 1999 bfi DVD release, but that was their 2nd ever release. Now they are more like criterion or MoC quality.

I have high hopes for this release, but watching 4:3 media on my dedicated 21:9 screen is poop

Still a must buy for one of thr greatest films ever made.

And let's hope it contains a booklet as well. Wouldn't make much sense if the Amaray comes with a booklet but not the steel...

I believe they released the 1954 Godzilla movie in 04 I think on DVD to celebrate the 50th anniversary of big G.

Crossing my fingers for a Blu Ray steel next year of Godzilla 1954 from them.... X3

Oh well I look forward to the constant "sorry your order is delayed " Zavvi emails from Monday .

There isn't a standard edition of this , nor is it available with any other retailer. The MOC releases tend to go out on Day of Release (or shortly after) Perhaps BFI are going to be the same.

Same, even more so than Halloween. This is the big one this month (next month probably Nausicaä...I might cancel Bodysnatchers and Nosferatu).
