Very irritating...pre-ordered at £13.25 so lost out £2.80. Question is, should I return my original copy for a refund (technically it's damaged, slight pinhair scratch on the back) and buy another from eBay or not. Is it worth the hassle? I've heard Zavvi are tight with returns and they might refuse to refund my return postage so it might not be worth it...also the new copy could also be damaged.
 
If bought from the main Zavvi site you won't have to pay for return postage, they email you a collect+ label for faulty/damaged item returns.

Cool, my printer is broken but I'm gonna give it a go anyway (mates work printer). Worst comes to worst I'll have to resell the duplicate.

Well my minds made up. Light scratching, that I could have lived with and the title is over debosssed / dented. Guess I'll get a refund and buy the £10 version.
 
I liked the minimal design, but when it arrives with a huge 130mm scratch under the plastic wrapping and embossing which is 2mm misaligned, it feels cheap. I can't help but wonder what is going on in the "quality" departments at Zavvi.
 
Having had another look at my copy, it seems that the alignment of the title embossing varies considerably. I don't think that it's possible for it to look great with the font but mine at least looks properly aligned. Some of the pictures I've seen posted look awful.
 
Is it just me or is it something strange about the debossing on this steel? I thought it was just misaligned, but does it even fit the letters at all?

Interesting point. If you look at megabee's last photo, the debossing appears to line up if you focus on the end of "SAMURAI", however if you look at the S in "SEVEN", it's clearly misaligned:

Shame, this is a classy-looking steel otherwise. Another win for Zavvi!
 
I got two different copies because the first was damaged, only one was misaligned (the second one). Kinda annoying but hey, I'm not that concerned! Definitely shouldn't have used a thin seriffed font though.
 
i got one off amazon the other day for i think £13.99 and it came packed really well and no dent or scratches was really impressed with the packaging as it was in a box with bubble wrap taped around it in both directions.
