the weekend has long gone and still my order is unfulfilled

It was a Bank Holiday weekend mate. No mail gets processed till today as the sorting and dispatch offices for all mail services and couriers were closed until this morning. Apart from retail stores, no business operate across the weekend or yesterday.

They're not custom friendly are they? You international people that have received it, what did it say on the custom slip?

Today I got a call from a norwegian courier that I've never heard of/used before (and i must've received thousands of packages over the years) telling me that they had my package. They wanted my email address + social security number (for the norwegian authorities) for when I need to pay customs on this package.
I have no idea how much this will be yet, and the courier will without a doubt have to get paid for this service also. And the package will still only be delivered to my local post office like every other packages I receive.

So in sum, for me it would've been much better if the package would've been sent with regular mail with tracking from the UK. And I paid £18.77 for this shipping. *shakes head*

People have been receiving dispatch notices over the weekend and yesterday.

Good for them, but all that means is the parcel is sitting in a distribution centre waiting for the drivers to deliver them starting today. Hermes don't deliver on Bank Holiday Mondays, the drivers are on holiday. Some work Saturdays but thats delivering items they received Friday

We know there will be no deliveries on Monday but peoples orders are still unfullfilled while other people are having theirs fulfilled, so bank holiday weekend really has no bearing.

That said even if the Bank Holiday weekend has had an impact, maybe EB shouldnt have gotten peoples hopes up by promising all orders to be fulfilled by the end of the weekend knowing full well it was a bank holiday weekend.

Once EB have handed the boxes over to Hermes, its down to them when they can deliver. As @StifflersDad has already said Hermes track record isn't great and you could get yours first even though it was dispatched last. Blaming a company for delivery times its just hilarious! I've had items from Amazon, Zavvi and other delivered with completely different levels of service, sometimes the next day, other times 5 days later. Its down to the logistics of the delivery firm NOT EB! Personally I'd of gone with Parcel Force as they are more reliable, but once Hermes have that package the onus is on them. Unless you have paid for next day delivery then theres no guarantees when a package will come.

Not really sure why you are banging on about delivery times when that is not the issue. It is the completion of their order for it to then be passed to hermes.

Dude what your talking about is a moot point. EB already stated that they'd be out the door by the end of this past weekend and that didn't happen. Even if it had a label only placed on the box he would have changed my listing from Unfulfilled to Shipping Soon or just Shipped or something other than Unfulfilled which would tell me that it's at least being looked at or being processed or some sort of movement. I haven't even received a reply back from there support which imho is non-existent. Probably just some dummy email account that's just sitting there filling up with piles and piles of email. All of what I explained has absolutely nothing to do with a courier. As I said MOOT.

Err its not a moot point, it was a BANK HOLIDAY! which means no emails get answered for 3 days, companies are on Holiday, and everything is shut down.

ever thought about the possibilty that they didn't finish all the Boxsets and single Editions?
maybe thats why they don't ship them but they are afraid to tell us about another delay..
either that or they are the slowest packers on earth.

I'm not you and I'm not going to be you. I'm honestly worried along with a lot of my fellow friends here. We have legitimate concerns and will continue to be concerned until EB works on improving their logistical issues that are quite frankly surrealistic nightmare.

I basically don't order direct except from Amazon or Zavvi. Too many nightmares. You only have to look at the HDzeta thread to see what can happen. I'd rather pay a little more for security. I could order direct from some of them like Filmarena but would rather go through Karel as even they have been difficult with some customers, their FB page was filled with complaints at one point
