Shingles...

Fellow Ninjas, anyone had shingles? I contracted it end of last week and the pain is unbearable got antiviral amd painkilling medications from my Doctor, who also sent me to have my eyes checked as she thought it may be there too but thankfully eyes are clear at the moment.

The pain is unbearable at times and I cant touch the top and side of my head or ear and neck and now look like the Elephant Man on my left side...

Any advice how to manage the pain and infection greatfully received

To be honest i have no idea what shingles is, so i googled it

So sorry to hear that you have it @Towser It looks really painful

Hopefully you get better soon and in the meantime your brothers and sister at HDN will keep your spirits up

Hi @Towser oh my goodness, I am so sorry to hear this. My bro had this years ago, and he said it was extremely painful. I hope this gets better for you!

Thanks everyone, still in pain and some itchiness has started, unable to shave as its too painful and I look like a yeti

I had shingles as a kid. After treatment, I haven't had any issues since.
