Oh, we have a winner.

Still it's good to see that this will have both cuts of the film (and I do appreciate that Zavvi have often left out extra discs) so it means I can finally get rid of my US 3-disc DVD edition that I've had for an age. Shame as it was a nice set but this will take up a bit less space and look nicer.

Hmmm, awesome art + 1 disc, or crappy art + 2 disc. Kind of a catch 22 unless you want to double dip.

But isn't this another area where the studio actually decides the type of release treatment (disc(s)/content), just like prior discussions elsewhere in this forum regarding the artwork that Zavvi uses?

Still hoping the artwork on this one isn't finalized to what we're currently seeing.

The Evil Dead 2 steelbook had two discs, but one was a DVD rather than bonus features.

This is good news that this release is getting both discs, feels like Zavvi maybe be treating their releases more like the special editions they are.

^^ yes but the retailer can ask for extras or changes even at the last minute.

....when the play.com watchmen steel was announced, it was originally to be the standard Theatrical version if i remember right…. We on HDN however made a lotta noise about wantin the Directors Cut, and through HDN staff, play.com were able to get the disc changed pretty late on i think into the extended Directors Cut.

U gotta wonder why it took so long for us to get a answer to such a basic question re number of discs huh? :movie:

Do I want the images sharpened up? Yes but do I want the artwork to be orginal Frank Miller, **** yes. This is the version I've been waiting for instead of constantly pumping out the same Steelbooks over and over. :movie:
