Hello and welcome to my Star Wars themed mancave. As you can see I am a huge fan of both Star Wars Trilogies. The statues you see here are from Sideshow Collectibles' Premium Format line. The collection itself is still very much a collection in progress, I couldn't tell you when I'll be finished but I do know that I am not done yet and I still have more statues on the way and I also have more posters/prints that will be added once they are framed.

The cabinets you see here are from Ikea, but all the parts are sold separately. The units themselves are called Besta, the doors are called Sindvik, and the interior lights are called Stotta.

In addition to the Star Wars collection the room features a Samsung 46" 3D LED TV, a Samsung HT-E5400 3D Home Theater System, as well as a Sony PS3 and a PS4.

HT really did an awesome job reworking the Han sculpt, I'm sure you'll like it.

I think Star Lord was is possibly my favorite Marvel one to date, that thing just so awesome! Are you going to get the rest of the Guardians eventually?

Hulk's size really makes it a problem to easily display all of the Avengers comfortably, unless you've got a long open shelf. But I have seen people use Bestas for HTs as well. You can get a half shelf that runs along the back and put up to 3 figures on it : http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/80295526/#/80295526 , or a glass one: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/00295530/.

Again its cramped, but if you really want them all in one cube that you can put a nice glass door on this does work pretty well.

I might just get a Billy bookcase or something similar that has longer shelves and just not worry about putting glass in front of them. It would be nice to have glass doors on everything, but it's difficult with the combination of Sideshow making oversized statues and IKEA not making full sized doors. I'll worry about it in a few months. I still need to buy furniture and get through Christmas shopping, ha ha.

What's next on your want list? Have you seen the 1/6 Mondo Ninja Turtles? What do you think of those? I'm on the fence, I think they're cool but can't stop noticing the tail between their legs that looks like something else, ha.

I might just get a Billy bookcase or something similar that has longer shelves and just not worry about putting glass in front of them. Sometimes I debate a piece for months before I pull the trigger on it, and other times I impulse buy stuff. With Arnie I always wanted to get an Arnie piece pretty much since I started buying stuff from SS but I kept putting it off. I also always wanted to get a HT so after looking at pics one day I just decided I've waited long enough. Now I have a feeling I'll be slowing down on PFs and buying more HTs just because of the impeccable details. That and I really don't have that much more room for SW PFs lol.

Ouch! Man, thats even higher than I thought it'd be. Are you considering any display cabinets from anywhere else?

I think my favorite Wolverine outfit is actually the basic brown and yellow leather jacket and jeans from X-Men Origins Wolverine. The movie wasn't my favorite and the sculpt on that fig isn't the greatest either, but I really like that outfit. I checked on the DOFP HT and he's already on waitlist from SS . Might have to get it from BBTS or somewhere else.

Glad you appreciated Mad Max as well, I was surprised how fast and furious the first 30 minutes came at me and it didn't really slow down much.

I have that Rebels book as well...and also haven't read it, ha. I'm going to pick up the first volume of Marvel's Star Wars though and will definitely read it. I'll report back to you if it's good!

I'm hoping you end up getting the XM Vader dio thing. I'm still pissed we can't even find a leaked photo, but from what everyone is saying that was there it looks absolutely phenomenal.



I will most likely pick up the first Marvel SW TPB, but I don't know when I'll get to it, I'm so far behind in reading the stuff I already have. I still haven't read The Star Wars that was based on Lucas's original draft, and I've had that thing for months now. I just gotta make some time one of these weekends for reading.

First impressions: Holy ****!

Second impressions: I can confirm that the headsculpt completely blows away any human likeness on any PF I have. The tailoring is top notch, but I can't say if its better or worse than SS's PFs because those are damn good too. I've also got to make a note that the paint on the flesh tones is incredible. It seriously looks like there is a circa 1984 1/6 Arnie in my room.

Congrats! Yeah, HT doesn't mess around with sculpts. Tailoring must be hard as hell on 1/6 stuff, but this looks amazing!

I'm guessing it'll be another year or 2 before that Vader(s) statue ships, so plenty of time to save. I've decided that for the next Boba and Vader statues, I'll definitely be going the XM way.

I actually was going through a HT checklist website and saw that DX Jack Sparrow and that thing looks phenomenal! I love the Pirates movies. I also saw that SS had the Johnny Depp Ichabod Crane from Sleepy Hollow in stock which is one of my favorite horror movies ever. I was actually thinking of ordering that one, but then I realized I'd feel like a total chick if I ordered a Depp figure all by himself and immediately had to order the manliest thing I could think of, Schwazenegger from the 80's LMAO!

I would normally say of course they are, but there have been quite a few teases that SS has canned after announcing like Guardians of the Galaxy PFs and the Amazing Spider-Man 2 PF. There were more that were revealed from Spook a couple of years ago I think but I can't remember. I doubt they will be cancelling the Sandtrooper PF, but they have been super quiet as far as SW PFs go.

LOL! I'd definitely be worried too with a shrine of Johnny Depp HTs. There is also a part of me that wants to get the Anne Hathaway Catwoman HT because I think she is smoking hot, but then I think my friends might see that and say "Is that a f***ing Barbie?" LOL!

I just got done playing the Star Wars Battlefront Beta demo that I guess they just put out a couple of days ago. I gotta say I'm not quite sure what I was expecting but I think it was pretty mediocre. It looks gorgeous, but thats the best thing I can say about it. Its obviously not the full game but it gives you enough to see how the game is going to be set up. For the single player it puts you on one of the planets which are basically setup as a circular arena and it sends a wave of the opponents at you. When you defeat them it sends another wave, then another wave and another wave etc. And if you die you just respawn yourself like you would in a multiplayer game. I don't believe there is going to be any real story here. The multiplayer is more fun, but I'm not one that usually plays multiplayer all that much. Its kind of setup like capture the flag. It will put something in the level that you have to go and claim for a certain amount of time before the other team can and once you claim it you have to defend it from the other team taking it over. After you do this it will send out another thing you have to go and claim and defend, sometimes its more than one thing at the same time depending on how big the teams are. During the Hoth one it had these little blue things that if you found it would let you take control of an AT-ST, AT-AT or TIE Fighter. I was thinking the AT-AT was going to be really awesome but it was actually kind of lame. The TIE was cool I guess but I think it would be better in the space battle levels which are not available on the demo. They also had Jedi Knight Luke and Vader running around in the Hoth level but I couldn't figure out how to play as them.

Bottom line for me is the game looks good and its fun but with no real story there won't be much replay value to me. I'm still bummed that 1313 was canned LOL I think I'm going to wait it out till this game hits the $30 or under range.

I was thinking the same thing with the PT connection to Phasma. I wonder if the OT only people have noticed it yet, and I wonder if some of them will explode once they figure it out LMAO!

I even like these Sindvik better than the Glassvik. Their cheaper and I like the fact that its got a frame going around the glass. It makes it much easier not go get finger prints on them.

I have Black Widow and Gamora so I guess I own Barbies too, ha! FYI - that Ichabod Crane will probably go on sale during Spooktacular. I keep getting $25 off codes for it.

The design team has taken a page from the PT for sure when it comes to the new troopers. Giving them a badass leader like Phasma just tops it!



I hear you! My displays went without glass fronts for a long time. Even considered acylic fronts, but shipping was too much. I like the doors Josh got for his Bestas better than the Vasbos I have. I just don't want to drop the coin on'em.

If I were single, that's all I'd be doing! Guaranteed! LOL!

Last I hear guys is that they are still making the Sandtrooper PF. But, IIRC, don't expect to see it until mid 2016. Possibly at SDCC.

It's funny you mention that because I was planning on keeping all of my collection downstairs then I thought to myself, I'm single, I might as well use the upstairs as well! Ha ha.

I have Black Widow and Gamora so I guess I own Barbies too, ha! FYI - that Ichabod Crane will probably go on sale during Spooktacular. I keep getting $25 off codes for it.

I think its the rooted hair thats the deal breaker for me with the chicks. I mean I already call all HTs dolls, but the rooted hair on the girls really doesn't help LOL.

I think you're right about the Ichabod going on sale during spook but I have a feeling that ones going to be around for awhile. I don't think I'm going to get him anyways since he's the only one they are making from the movie. If they had a Christopher Walken Headless Horseman HT to go along with him that would probably change everything for me.

Using both floors just means you can have an even bigger collection .
