Word of caution from an UK HDN Member about HMV (thanks VRob98)

People should just be aware of 2 things:
1) If you receive a damaged or faulty copy from now on, you will not receive a replacement or refund
2) If they charge your card and are then unable to fulfil your order, you will not be refunded.

The way a company operates whilst under administration is quite different to how it operates normally, and certain consumer rights are suspended. If anything goes wrong you would have to apply to the administrator or claim against your credit card issuer.

I'd encourage everyone who has orders in with HMV to consider the above, as I'd hate to see anyone here lose their money in all of this.

Unfortunately, the region question gets asked time and time again no matter how many times it may have been answered before (as much as is possible for a title not yet released).

If every post that said 'is this region free?' etc. was removed, every thread would be a third shorter.

We can avoid this when we put the region info in the OP. Hopefully this helps

Although region B is not a problem for me it's unfortunate that MGM/Fox could not release it region ABC like the Goldeneye SteelBook.

Yeah I I find that funny, no way in hell is this rare lol. There will be thousands of these as in way past 4000 I'd say at least 20-30k, because HMV would of ordered a huge amount originally then on top of that the same steel is in loads of countries.

I went to check the prices.
I noticed one seller stated that he could ship out the uk version early so that it arrives on the release date.
Since the UK is an amazon exclusive I was a little confused as to how he could even get any before it's released....

He will probably have amazon ship it straight to the buyer direct with postage paid for.

With HMV in trouble before ordering their supply, there is a good chance that numbers will be less than people believe. I'm not sure they would have committed so much financially to the supply of one item. Also bare in mind that HMV had a good record of selling out with previous steelbooks. Add the fact that the price is almost identical to the amaray, then many non collectors will also pick one up to. Time will tell.
