Artwork maybe same but this will possibly have a JB HIFI Exclusive slip.

I think almost certainly it will. Plus other JB HiFi exclusives have been different in other small ways too (Sucker Punch had art cards, Prometheus was a VMB, Avengers was the uncut version), so there may be another feature to make their version a bit different in addition to the packaging. Full product spec is not up yet so it's hard to know in advance.

:scat: 100% CORRECT my friend

Not too fussed about this UNLESS it turns out to be VMB then I'll be all over it otherwise Taiwan is THE one to get for this title :)

I don't understand the hype about these slips. If the only difference between an european version of this for about ~20€ and this one for about 50€ is this damn useless paperslip where "exclusive" is written on i wouln'd pay this price.
Think about this 30€ for a paperslip:hilarious:
I'll print myself one so it's limited to one:scat:

See my post above, but yes I can't really argue with you on a "Think with brain not heart" basis:D

Hi mate,

I think you need to have a read of some of the posts in these threads about some of the Rarest steel books in the Wolrd are ~ Purely because of the Card Board Slip they have !!
You may well learn some thing ;)

I know that, but I still don't understand the hype about these slips and never will. If there is for exeample a futureshop or play.com release with a unique design all over the world, a special de/embossing etc. that's somethig I would consider as rare.
But the same design all over the world with the only difference that there is a "slip"... I think that's totally boring.
If you unwrap your steelbook (I usually don't) you got the same steelbook as everyone

But to the people who think otherwise... To each his own;)

Hardcore collectors like something different / unique in their collection. Skyfall most probably will have the same artwork globally. If I have a choice between HMV or JB Hi-Fi Exclusive, the Oz release wins...And yes, it's about the slip. Historically, JB offers truely limited new releases and that what makes them highly collectable.

I was too , like yourt self in my early Days of Collecting , just bought any version steel book , that I liked , and really just got the cheapest easiest to find !!

there are a few different type of Steel Book Collectors now !!

This type that prefers the Card Board or Paper Slips on the Front of thier steel books are just 1 type of Collector..

Some Collectors will only take Steel Books that have Stickers all over it

Some just like the Art Work , and will Collect as many Differnt ones as possible , even If its the same !!

like you say ~ "each to thier own"

JB HiFi steel books are not very common in the steel book World & hence command a certain price Tag , should you wish to aquire them / it ?

They are just a regular Retailer that Normally has some type of special Art Cards or Booklet , in the steel book like the fnac releases,.. so this is the reason that the guys are favourable towards any JB HiFi release !!

its just like Fleetwood Mac said - Go Your Own Way !!

enjoy

Somebody said to me the other day, 'why the hell would you pay more for a movie in a steelbook??' To which I replied, 'the packaging is nicer'. Which prompted the response, 'but it's the same movie inside, right??'

The point being that we're all in this just for the packaging. After that it's just differing degrees of madness.

just been down to JB HiFi this morning to try to get some more info, but nothing at Store Level yet !! just on-line atm..

should look prettty nice , when it sprorts it JB HiFi exclusive colours & Slip  and hope fully some Art Cards or Booklet EEK!

Just done the same thing and been to the main Brisbane store, again no info (TBH they didn't even know they were getting an exclusive) only thing I did find out is that they may be instore on the 25th March, 2 days earlier. So you may need to keep an eye out Daz for your GB.

yeh, I allready spoke to on-line on the phone this morning as I am trying to get 50 "clean" steelz delivered , but as you know , they cry as soon as you go over 3 steelz :hilarious: so its a long procces , but I think I will get there as long as I can convince them , its not for Ebay re-sale !! as that is all they kept crying about !!

Gah, at this rate, I'd only buy one from a retailer that actually has different cover for Skyfall steelbook.

G/Luck with that EEK!

I signed up for the group buy on this will be my first Australian steelbook (need to check if my bluray players are unlocked region code wise I unlocked them for dvds). I am just sad no US steel and then the UK one looks dodgy with HMV being in trouble.
