I signed up for the group buy on this will be my first Australian steelbook (need to check if my bluray players are unlocked region code wise I unlocked them for dvds). I am just sad no US steel and then the UK one looks dodgy with HMV being in trouble.

this will be Region "B" & for me or any one else to tell you other wise , is not to be taken lightly !!

previous MGM releases show that 65% of Global releases are Region Free , and that figure is rising

so , I would just wait & see my friend

best bet for you is get the Taiwan version as that is 100% garanteed to be Region "A"

jb hi fi in Australia is releasing a skyfall steelbook. Retail for $36 Australian.
Which means it will also be region b

it is up on JB hiFi's Pos system, and as I thought , really Low Print run !! , well, really Low allocated Orders , as my Local Store is Ranked in the Top 5 store in Sydney & its only getting 6 copies

Compared to the 30 Copies of Prometheus ViVa , that they got & still Sold out of in 1 week

I did put a Store Order in on Top of the 6 so I wouldn't clean them out completely

If any one can ask how many their Store is getting ? LMK Via "PM" as I dont want to spam the Death outta this thread any more ??

Low print run would be a nice bonus for future value

I believe they can also pull from stores to fulfil online orders, so individual stores might end up with even fewer copies still?

they will pull stock from other stores, If there is any left !! ~ and then they pass through that many hands that they will be rooted mate

I got Japan & Taiwan on Pre ! ~ only for Personal Collection & to make Gratuitous amounts of Profit when I sell the Full Collections later !!

I will However be bagging up the JB Steel & putting it to Bed with all his friends

For me ! I would be taking advantage of these Cheap prices from UK & Germany atm only If was I gonna Open it up , as IMO: we all know its gonna be worth about 10 Bob , once its been opened & maybe 20 Bob if left sealed

only thing I can say is that , all the Skyfall Blu rays released so far have been Region free , so maybe that is telling some thing ??

This hasn't sold out yet? Everywhere else seems to be selling out. Must be a huge supply.

The majority of people will buy the cheapest version available to them, when the cover is the same. Happened with other titles in the past. Some folks just don't care about slips, j-cards, etc, and choose based on price and the film, alone. Different strokes for different folks.
