I opened my UK one and that does not have the defect although I was lucky to get a mint copy compared to some of the members on here.

Hopefully JP is mint.

Mine looks fine as well. I don't see any defect and the shrink wrap is good as well. While I am at it, I have to say that K2 DVD really took great care with the packaging.

Congrats on getting on undamaged one. I haven't received mine yet, but I'm wondering if there's any difference between the batch that K2DVD got and the batch that Kimchidvd got. Did anyone receive defective copies from K2DVD?

Actually, I just had a closer look and while it does not have the manufacturing defect many are talking about, there is a small tear in the slip just under the age rating on the lower left hand corner. I should have noticed this initially.

My didn't come with defect, so very happy. I'm guessing this only effected 1st batch, as only ordered it after release date:
