This is what I'm talking about, very simple, elegant & classy slip, Taiwan Slips are the best, cancelled HMV's one for this beauty, already preordered this from YA the minute it went up :scat:

YA seems very pricey on this one but you have the uncertainty of paying customs fees (to the UK) with JSDVD, whereas you don't with YA.
That's not true, I have never ever got hit with cutoms from JSDVD as I always make sure to leave a note for them to mark it down to $15 and as a gift and that's from DVDs time bud ;)

I'll wait and see on JSDVDs price before ordering this.
If you end up saving anything it will be about £2-£3 max, I didn't want to pay instantly from JSDVD hence why I have opted to preorder both Taken 2 & Skyfall from YA :p

True, but at least JSDVD ship in a box with bubble wrap. YA just roll them in bubble wrap and stick them in an envelope. Most of them do survive the journey ok in fairness, but it always seems more like good luck when they arrive undamaged.

I got charged customs on my last order from JSDVD even though I marked it as a gift and a low value. I can't remember if it was 2 or 3 steels (I think 3).

Not if you leave them a note to pack it well padded in a sturdy cardboard box no ;)

There is no guarantee that they will pack your steelbooks well in a box no matter where you order them from, that's why I always make it as a habit to leave a note with instructions, and I mean always just to be on the safe side, I actually have a template stating everything from custom friendly to pre-check steel for any issues prior to packing etc, all I do is copy and paste on the checkout :D

That's strange, you sure you left them a note?

I got several items in one box from them but never got hit simply because I told them in advance to mark it down in value to $15 and as a gift.

Me too.

I also had another package impounded by Customs recently for having a marked down value and gift on the package.

Customs aren't fools and they know commercial companies don't send out low value gifts to customers. Ask for packages to be sent out that way and your luck may well run out at some point, as mine did. :ohno:

Not if you ask then to put in a box. I always ask for bubble wrap and then boxed up. Which YA always do

Every time I've ordered from YA I've asked them to send it in a box with bubble wrap. And not once (over many orders) have they ever done it.

Maybe I need to get some tips from you guys on how to persuade them! :naughty:

Wow really, man I'd be annoyed as hell too if that ever happened to me hehe

I've been a regular customer at both YA & JSDVD for well over 7 years now so I guess they got the message even though I keep on bombarding them with it every time I place a new order :hilarious:

Well I'll keep trying. Persistence may be the key! ;)
