to confirm/clarify, there's no requirement on HDN for you to have already purchased 50; that's a requirement on other sites. if there is an HDN allocation for the release, it goes to HDN VIPs first, and then to all Ninjas if any additional copies remain, currently usually through the HDN shop. @Wreck usually let's the thread know if and when a release is available to all.

I've actively purchased a few things in Group Buys, including Blufans editions in the past where funds permitted. What is the requirement then for VIP treatment?
It used to be 50 blufans releases many years ago. A one click would count as 3 for example, but im sure I read on other site it had increased a while ago it can't be 100% about this.

So how do I become a VIP if the criteria is to buy at least 3 GB purchases per year but can’t get into the GB because you need to be a VIP ? It seems to be a catch 22.
Platinum membership is some scheme used on other site where you get some 'benefits' for 200+$. But still not able to get relevant releases
Theres VIP and standard Group Buys. You would use the standard group buys and over time you can build up your collection to then become a VIP. As mentioned, OCs count as 3 etc so it’s quite easy to build the numbers up. Most of the other sites VIPs have been one for around a decade now. So over time this is quite easy to achieve the numbers needed to become a VIP.

Evil Bay it is then .............. I've quite a few Blufans, but nowhere near what you need on here. The ones that catch my eye usually are the ones that go to all the VIP's, so catch 22 as I said above (post 47). God, I remember staying up all night to secure "Frozen" Blufans editions on here.... what a bloodbath it was, but so much fun! Different times! The whole thing of you must have bought so many to be entitled to get another seems to have taken that enjoyment out of it for me, personally.
