Hope I have this in the right place. I'd like to get some hard cases for my more valuable steels. They seem hard to get. A seller on Ebay Germany is selling them, but won't ship to Canada. but was unable to get any. Can anyone help?:(

Morning All,

Just been looking at the protective sleeves and wondering, which ones are the best for me – and what offers the best level of discount (nothing worse than the price not changing when you buy 10 times as many!)

Noticed that their prices are a lot cheaper on their website – but then postage has to be added – which is weight specific too.

So thought id put together the chart below, which shows the price reduction as you go up in quantities (on both their site – and eBay) but also a comparison between their site prices and their eBay price.

Which is pretty surprising, because their site price is sometimes less than 10% cheaper than eBay – where on eBay they’ll be getting charged 10% FVF (or perhaps cheaper because they’re a business account) but they’ll be getting hit with PayPal 3.5%+25p too (again, possibly less based on account) but I would have thought their site would’ve been cheaper by more.

But for example, I opted for 100x SCF1 via their website, because it offered the greatest reduction on quantity – and compared to their eBay price – it was the biggest drop.

Hi,

Thanks for doing this price comparison for us, I will give you a heads why the savings on our website are not as much as you would of hoped. The fees we pay on ebay are 9% and the paypal fees are a little cheaper then you have above but not by much. You have to take into account the costs of running a website including hosting and merchant fees and charges. The reason our prices are excluding delivery on our website is to allow customers to combine there order with different items and make savings on the postage as it is calculated by weight.

What slipcover was you thinking of purchasing?

Hi

I would like to purchase some protectors for the Tin Books of The Pacific, Band of Brothers and Friday the 13th the Collection.

Can anyone recommend any protector large enough for these Tin Blu Rays?

Thanks

Is that the steel that is 28mm thick? If so these will fit in the new SCF3 jumbo slipcover due next year sometime

Hi KingSteelie

I would like to purchase some protectors for the Tin Books of The Pacific, Band of Brothers and Friday the 13th the Collection. The Pacific and Band of Brothers are 35mm thick and 183mm in length. Friday the 13th is 43mm thick by 183mm length

Will the current SC6 Jumbo protector be large enough for these Tin Blu Rays?

Hi @KingSteelie, im a Financial Analyst, so analysing and comparing the price is kind of second nature.

Wasnt taking anything away from the pricing - a saving is a saving to me (hence I ordered a 100x box of SCF1 - I think)

But they arrived 48 hours later - and im yet to try and put one together yet - but my theory was, that out of all my steelbooks, id have 100 that fitted - then when it comes to ones that dont fit, I can simply start to ask the questions.

My understanding is that the SCF1 is slightly bigger so will incorporate pretty much any 'generic' steelbook that either is sealed or unsealed, with or without J-card.

But I cant start "The Great Process" until I sort out a backdrop for all my pictures :D

"Ive bought an acrylic stand and everything."

Hi, you will never get a slipcover to fit the tin boxes I don't think. There is probably a plastic wrap on the market that will fit these. The SC6 jumbo is for jumbo steelbooks 30mm thick and any oversize steelbook that may fit.

They should fit every standard sealed steelbook, but will not fit some of the oversize kimchi, bluFans and nova media steelbooks, these will fit inside the SCF2 slipcover

That is ridiculous. Why hasn't there been a protector made for the Tin collections? Cheers

How many Tin boxes have been made? And how many different sizes? We have been asked a couple of times for slipcovers for them but no huge demand that warrants us making them, especially as the smallest amount we can have made is 10,000 slipcovers
