Hope I have this in the right place. I'd like to get some hard cases for my more valuable steels. They seem hard to get. A seller on Ebay Germany is selling them, but won't ship to Canada. but was unable to get any. Can anyone help?:(

Your SCF1s must be cut to a slightly larger size than mine then because I spent nearly 10 minutes trying to get my lenticular Pianist copy in there and I finally gave up because I felt like I was about to ruin the slip. It just wouldn't go in.

Lucas is the pianist the same size as the dallas buyers club lenticular? Trying to make the right size for the lenticular slipcover

I just measured all three of my lenticulars (Drive, Pianist, and DBC) and they all came out to be the same. 6 and 3/4" in length, 5 and 7/16" in width, and 5/8" in height. So my suggestion would be to make the slips about 1/8 or 1/16 of an inch bigger in each of those dimensions when making them.

edit- Just remembered you're based in the UK and you probably don't use inches, lol. Dammit.

So my order of SCF1's just arrived.

These would have to be the most pathetic excuse for a protective cover there is. The plastic breaks when you try and make up the protector and when it it made up the ends come up and out - I've had to resort to using cellotape to fasten it tightly.

What an utter disgrace. How they can charge for these things is beyond me.

Not happy!!

Thanks for the feedback, it's ok I know inches as well lol, do you think if we make same size as SCF2 but just change thickness would be ok?

I wish I'd seen this Youtube video a few weeks ago before I ordered these. This guy had to cut the flaps off!! and he cut his finger!!

What a JOKE!!

Hang on a minute these are not the slipcovers you ordered, so why are you trying to rubbish the name of steelbook central?

So after my first few where the tabs broke off or teared I have managed to get a couple to work, so it may not be all in vain. Certainly have lost about $5 already though

I've been buying these on and off for the last few years and have never had the problem that the guy in the video does!

It only takes about 10 seconds to assemble one and have never cut my finger while doing so.

admittedly they do look very nice once they are assembled, so kudos to Steelbook Central for their product.

Just hoping I have no problems with the rest of my order.

Cheers

So what size would you want us to make the new slipcovers? I take it the height and width are ok on SCF2 it's just the thickness right?

The Pianist and Perfume Kimchidvd lenticulars are 6.75" x 5.4" x 0.5". So the slip would have to be slightly bigger than those dimensions (and also to accommodate the "credit card" on the back). The SCF1 is close but it won't fit.

Never bought from steelbook central so not sure what size sleeve I should get. I mostly have naked steelbooks (without slipcover) and a few lenti and full slip from Kimchi. From what I understood, I should get SCF1 for standard steels and SCF2 for steels with slipcover/box? Please correct me if I am wrong.

@keyjey Yes, you should get SCF1's for any normal steelbook, zavvi, bestbuy, 1/4 slips, etc. SCF2s are for blufans, kimchi. nova, PA, full slips and lentis. Some ninjas have been able to fit lenti's into SCF1s, I personally don't because it just does not fit for me. The extra space on my her lenit, leon full slip and hdzeta httyd does not bother me at all.

Not sure if this one has been stated, but Lawrence of Arabia full slip fits into a SCF1.

@keyjey that should be correct. I've only bought fully enclosed ones so I can't give first hand experience on the 3 sided ones. Some say if you open your steels, the sc1s are better because it's easier to get them out. But I open all mine and it takes an extra 2sec imo

I'm just now catching up with this thread and after reading the positive reviews I might have to order some SC1 and SC2's in the near future. But like @LucasEatWorld pointed out I'm curious if they'll release another SC to accommodate the lenticular editions from Kimchi and NovaMedia?
