Hope I have this in the right place. I'd like to get some hard cases for my more valuable steels. They seem hard to get. A seller on Ebay Germany is selling them, but won't ship to Canada. but was unable to get any. Can anyone help?:(

I'll get you a picture shortly. I like the ones I get because they don't have any folds covering the front or back, as opposed to some that have a fold over the back edge.

Weird one here...

I am hoping to convert my entire collection the slipcovers in the near future. So far, I have some regular G2 and some G2 jumbo steelshells.

While I do need to get more of the regular G2, one thing bothering me is that I will have some G1 steelbooks sitting in bags right next to sleeved steelbooks.

I now see G1 slips are availble, but...

Does anyone know where I can get only 5 G1 sleeves?

Credit to Jondog21 on finding the videogamebox people a couple pages back :p and yeah SC is always out of stock, I'll post a pic later in post comparing the two

Do your videogamebox ones come pretty scratched up? It seems like all of the ones I just got have scratches all over them so it makes it look like the steelbook is scratched. I'm not talking about deep scratches, just a lot of fine scratches all over these.

I love the KimchiDVD shells. Is there a cheaper equivalent that is exactly the same (or better) but without any logo on the shell? I keep my sealed Steelbooks (except ones with full slips already) inside so I need ones that can accommodate them without being too tight. The Kimchi ones work great even with 1/4 slips on my Steelbooks.

Where are these from? I've tried the SC2 sleeves and found that the inside glued flap has scratched 1 of my unsealed steelbooks. I like how the one above has the small flaps on the side to prevent this happening again. Help!

It's only open on one spine side. All other sides are enclosed. You can kind see the way it folds on the edge closest the camera, two tabs that fold into two slots.

They also make a jumbo sized one which goes perfectly with my Walking Dead season 3s.

Which covers would you guys recommend for steelbooks with lentacular covers?

I will tell you the covers I posted above fit very nicely over my Avatar, Life of Pi, and Man of Steel with their lenticular magnets on.

I do have lenticular slips from Oz, Tangled, and Up that are too big for them, which I prefer the Kimchi style box for these.

If you reach inside the steelshell and fold those 2 little tabs against the back, rather than along the spine , you'll find the steelbooks actually fit better....and the tabs won't catch on the steelbook as you insert and remove it. So basically you should see the 2 tabs on the back of the steelbook when it is in the steelshell.

That's actually why I put them on the side the opens, I'd rather have that there and see the full back without tabs. Just picky I guess.

Alright guys, I finally got around to taking pictures comparing two fully enclosed cases. Video game box protectors (click on playstation, and then on ps3 to see the cases) and SCF1 from steelbook central.

Platoon is in video game box protectors and Braveheart is in SCF1. I did my best taking pictures trying to compare them lol, I'm by no means a pro at using cameras...haha

Two pictures side by side comparisons, one flash, one no flash

Just showing the back of them (notice the flap on the top end of case compared to SCF1, edit it seems after a while the flap flattened out eventually)

Trying to show the difference in height here. The one closest in the picture if video game box protectors. You can see SCF1s are 'roomier'

In my opinion, video game box protectors are great substitute for people that live in the U.S. They fit open steelbooks really snug. My friend says sealed steelbooks like there will be blood fit perfectly, but I have not tried it.

Though if you're in the UK..stick to those SCF1s. I WISH I had free shipping on them lol

Just to confirm, are you saying that these will fit steels with lenticular slips?

I'm also a huge collector of slipcovers and these German steelshell sleeves fit US slips perfectly :scat:

Anyone know which case would fit my Boardwalk Empire season 1 with box slip. I know it fits in the SCF1 but i'm looking for one with 3 sides so it just slides in. Any help much appreciated.
