Hope I have this in the right place. I'd like to get some hard cases for my more valuable steels. They seem hard to get. A seller on Ebay Germany is selling them, but won't ship to Canada. but was unable to get any. Can anyone help?:(

Anybody had the sleeves from ManOfSteel meant for unsealed? Annoyingly SteelbookCentral just doesn't seem to be getting the stock and I have a lot of unprotected steels now. Consistency is key and if they're radically different then I'll have to pass.

Hey dfoles, great work on this thread. Just wondering whether I'm seeing things or not but are there folds along the spine on those steelshells? Not sure if it's the light or reflections etc. They're probably the best looking sleeves I've seen if not. Thanks.

I wish I could take credit for this thread, but that belongs to BluRayJunkie :scat:

As far as the sleeve I have, yes there are, it has two tabs that fold over and then into the shell. I end up putting that side on the side of the steelbook that opens, which leaves the spine uncovered (more visible on the shelf) and looking so good.

I'll take a pic when I get home.

Their shipping may take a little longer than the others but they are worth the wait- easily the best quality and best looking sleeves for steelbooks imo.

He checked and it should be another 10 days but he sent 60 as a gift for the wait. They showed up in a week and they look awesome. Can't wait to get the other 450 in em already.

Thanks dfoles, I meant great work on the thread generally. It really is a superb resource for the community. Much appreciated.

On the left is the unfolded Steelshell. You can see the two tabs on the left, and the little half circle missing from the right is so you can get your fingers in to slip your steel out for watching/pictures.

The right shows the edge after it's all folded up. This leaves the front and back completely unobstructed by tabs

I bought some ps3 sleeves from VideoGameBoxProtectors. Works great. I recently tried their DVD sleeves and to my amazement they fit the Kimchidvd and blu fans lenticular slips perfectly besides the height. Will talk to seller about getting some more and also if he can create same ones but with Blu-ray height.

Hey Dfoles my name is Pete and I see you post regularly on here and BR forum and seem knowledgeable

Question I see you order from Blu-Steels. Is he reputable? I ordered from him over $500 worth of steel shells and they're still shipping since April 4th is this normal. He barely responds and I feel like he just stole my money and ran. No clue what to do.

Tue, 01.04.2014 22:16 h -- The instruction data for this shipment have been provided by the sender to DHL electronically
Thu, 03.04.2014 15:48 h Germany The shipment has been posted by the sender at the PACKSTATION
Fri, 04.04.2014 09:29 h Germany The shipment has been picked up
Fri, 04.04.2014 17:17 h Germany The shipment has been taken from the PACKSTATION for onward transportation
Fri, 04.04.2014 20:09 h Hagen, Germany The international shipment has been processed in the parcel center of origin
Sat, 05.04.2014 05:42 h Saulheim, Germany The international shipment has been processed in the export parcel center
Sat, 05.04.2014 11:35 h IPZ-Ffm, Germany The shipment will be transported to the destination country and, from there, handed over to the delivery organization. (Homepage / online shipment tracking: )

So confused how it can still be in Germany.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi,

You do not have to worry. I ordered a couple of times from them before and it took almost 4 to 5 weeks to get to Bahrain after they provided the tracking number. Just be patient and you will get your package!

Yeah, that is the most unfortunate part of dealing with Blu-Steels (and it's really the shipping service and not him). The product is awesome, he's really great about working with you (especially when you've invested that much into an order). It does however take a while to ship. But I've been a part of two 800 shell order ($800+), and will gladly use him again when I burn through the 150 I have stored up.

I'm not lying when I say it took almost 2 months for an order to deliver once, and that wasn't fun because the USPS said they hadn't received it yet, and the German side (DHL) said they had shipped it already.

They eventually turned up at a post office somewhere inland that is not an international intake like Miami or New York or Chicago. It just appeared in Tennessee and was on it's merry way. Probably didn't get scanned properly by the post office until then.

But give it about a week from now, if there's no progress get in touch with Blu-Steels and tell him you wanted to let him know it hasn't turned up, just so he's aware. It'll be a waiting game, but it'll turn up. And then your collection will be pretty and protected.

I hope I answered your question. If you have more, feel free to ask me, LizardSlayer or wjasoncul (they were both involved in the ordering and shipping process for a GB)

Thanks Buddy. He never responds and I have never waited for a shipment this long. Monday will be week 7 for me. I do not understand what cheap shipping he must use yet charged me 60 euro. Seems crazy

Thanks for the quick response. Yeah this is week 7 now Monday and still in Germany. For some reason he never helps or calls the post office. My fear is the address is not right or something. Still nervous but feel a little better that everyone seems to wait months. Mine shipped April 4th. That's some awful shipping.

I can just repeat what the others have said...Blu-steels are 100% reputable. The tracking info provided can be confusing as it only details the package within Germany. Once it leaves Germany then you contact the new carrier (in your country)- give them the original tracking number they should be able to pick up the trail.
The chap who operates Blu-steels has poor English and it is difficult for him to answer peoples questions which is probably why he has not answered some peoples emails.
Just be patient- they will get to you..and you will be thrilled with the quality product when you see them. I've placed many orders with them and couldn't be happier. The shipping can be a little slow but I think he is just trying to keep the cost down as low as possible.

Blu-steels seems to ship to many countries, but not NZ. Which is weird cause he ships to Australia and they're right next door! Sent him a message seeing if he could send them to NZ cause they look awesome... eagerly awaiting response :movie:
