Hope I have this in the right place. I'd like to get some hard cases for my more valuable steels. They seem hard to get. A seller on Ebay Germany is selling them, but won't ship to Canada. but was unable to get any. Can anyone help?:(

Steelbook central get them custom made in batches for themselves.

Spoke to them on eBay couple of weeks ago and yep SC2's are their biggest seller and will be back in stock later in the month.

Your order direct from their site right? Little bit cheaper than their eBay store

Hey, I was gonna order a steelbook case for the HDzeta full slip/lenti How to Train Your Dragon and my V for vendetta steel, but this I realized that most of them say it won't fit a slip, so I don't want to order something I can't use.

I already ordered BluRay bags and it won't fit BluRay w/ slip so I don't want to make a mistake twice.

So any recommendations for a plastic case(not a bag, a hard case) that will fit a steel w/slip and lenti. I need one that will ship to the US and isn't crazy expensive lol.

Thanks.

You can try the Kimchidvd clear case. It's the best one in my opinion. I can fit all of my steels with lenticular slip in there, like even it can fit on the Thor 2 kimchi lenticular exclusive steel and that one is extremely thick.

I know I'm probably in the wrong thread but because someone posted the post on slip on covers for protection, for those who knows about this,

If I keep my steelbook only in their original shrink wrap sided by side on a bookshelf, I tried to be careful that they don't put much pressure on the next steel and when I have to tilt them(the thinner ones who don't stand by themselves not like the kimchis who stand up by them self on a shelf as they are wider and heavy) but keeping them in that manner in a bookshelf with doors, is that protection enough ? I know dust finds it's way always but I am careful and monitor... is that an ok way to store my steels ?

IMO - Storing on shelf is fine but with some caveats
1. The environment that you storing is a factor - Dry, Damp, Humid ?. This will impact the steels and the shrinkwrap
2. The bottom of the shelf can leave marks on the bottom of steels - tiny scratches etc

I don't like the blu-ray storage plastic cover, should I get the dvd's(someone mentionned) but when I remove a steel from a shelf being ocd as I am I make sure the ones besides are not rubbing on them and I gently lift so not to drag on the shelf... the other part would be humid part but it's not that much...guess I'd have to monitor...

Be careful ordering from Blu Steels. I ordered over 500 on March 31st. Still nothing. He replies to emails after 10 days. Seems to never call dhl because it has been the same status since may 4th, which is preparing shipment. I just filed a claim with Paypal because I think he was stalling me till after the time limit of filing a case, so he can just steal my $540 bucks. He is a shady seller. Acts like its a burden to check on my order but no issue taking my money. I have never had a situation like this

What is the best way to store steelbooks

My steelbooks all in original shrink wrap OCD

They are stored in a bookshelf with doors side by side trying to have them not put pressure on the ones beside it, when I look at one, I gently lift so no tear bottom of shrink wrap would happen or scratches on it's neighbours. The light ones tend to fall a bit on the next steel beside as they are not heavy(cant stand straight by themselves like a heavy kimchi ie: entertainment store versus Kimchi, so at one point I stop staking the pile and start a new one(as they start straight on the bookshelf but you have to incline them slowly as the piles grows from left to right to hold the steel before, so the angle of the steel is touched by the top back of the steel on the one before and so on. The heavy ones like Kimchi those are easy so they don't put pressure on the steel beside as they are wide and heavy.

The only issue would be dampness as someone mention in regards to humidity. It is humid but not extreme, should I worry about a level of humidity to damage my steal making them sweat ? like for example when we receive a steel from Korea or Taiwan and the shrink wrap is stuck to the steel and it's darker like it's wet...but usually when you rub it off it disappear(most of the time). Should I buy The DVD protective sleeves but I find it doesn't look nice side by side.

I guess in terms of them being balances and the weight on the next one I'm not worries neither when pulling one out the rubbing on the next one, but it would be the humidity.
it's the only think someone brought up that makes me worries a bit. Any help would be appreciated...what is humid too much ???

Yeah that sounds normal. Mine took 3 weeks to arrive but it was worth the wait. I got that survey weeks before they arrived.

My 3 Blusteels orders so far from Germany to Ireland all took about 3 weeks...great product- worth the wait.

Mediabooks and Arrow releases with slipcases (Dawn of the Dead etc) any info on sleeves or cases for these?
