Hope I have this in the right place. I'd like to get some hard cases for my more valuable steels. They seem hard to get. A seller on Ebay Germany is selling them, but won't ship to Canada. but was unable to get any. Can anyone help?:(

Sorry by flyerts I meant promotional leaflets they included for other companies like a bingo one and a snack box one. Can't remember what the other one was. If they included zavvi or play discount codes then I would be happy but the ones they included is just more junk for me to fill my bin.

Ah I see :)

Thank you, I still can't decide between the steelbook central and man of steel, might have to go for steelbook central as they are cheaper :/

The ones from sbc are good. I can get some pics up later tonight if it helps. I have no experience of man of steel cases though.

Use a re-sealable storage bag. Comes in various sizes. Can still store the steelbooks vertically side by side on a shelf. Just be careful with the adjacent steelbooks when pulling one out.

or you can place them in a freezer witout damaging, keeping them fresh;)

Just joking:thumbs: each to their own:D

It might be worth me mentioning that Steelbook Central recently started offering thicker, higher quality steelbook sleeves (40 Micron opposed to the 25 of their previous offering).

They're what I've been using recently and seem much better than the 25 micron ones - plus they're the same price as the older ones there.

They don't have them on their website, but as linked above do on eBay.

High Quality 40 Micron Thick Plastic Wraps, High Quality Self Adhesive Strip.

These can be opened and resealed easily and are better quality then our previous wraps that used the super king sealant tape.

These wraps are British Made and have been made to our requirements to suit all Steelbook Collector's.

Perfect Fit for Sealed and Unsealed Blu-ray/DVD Steelbooks, With or Without J Cards. These will also fit Iron Packs, Viva Metal Cases, Metal Paks, Future Paks, PS3 Steelbooks, Xbox Steelbooks, Blu-ray & Dvd's with Cardboard Slipcovers, Standard Blu-ray & Dvd Cases.

Thanks for offering to help me out.
As for the dimensions, in cm:
8etune7e.jpg

So that'd be:
13.5 cm x 17.3 cm x 2 cm

The closest size is one of the sleeves from Movie Style France...the website is down right now so I can't provide a link but it's 140mm wide x 177mm tall x 20mm thick...
.....................14 x 17.7 x 2cm
and you need...13.5 x 17.3 x 2 cm

It will keep them fresh and prevent odors, too!
:p

Yeah, it's funny but I find that's the best way. :D

Be careful if you use the tight poly bags cuz they might end up causing folds to the shrink wrap like this (top left and bottom):

I use the re-sealable bags for steelbooks, box sets, everything, to keep dust and grime out. Items really stay "fresh". Lol. Here share with you guys my storage: :D

ever tried the Steel Shells from Kimchi? They even fit to sealed Steels, but that belongs to some other thread;)

Thanks. I won't dare use these steel shells or even any tight-fitting polybags cuz there's a risk of creasing the shrink wrap when pushing in and pulling out the sealed steelbooks. And for opened copies, might scrape the cover paintwork.

Yeah, think mod will move the discussion to another thread.
