Hope I have this in the right place. I'd like to get some hard cases for my more valuable steels. They seem hard to get. A seller on Ebay Germany is selling them, but won't ship to Canada. but was unable to get any. Can anyone help?:(

lol yeah the one thumb hole is a definate, I always listen to my customers

Yep I can use new cases for ones kept out of sight for protection. As for the 80 or so always on display the 4 with top glue were instantly spotted by my mate last night. So will need to swap round a lot to the older perfect cases for those :)

Would you be interested in the SCF1 slipcover to use for display? As they will be a similar price to the SC2 when new stock arrives

Yeah I might try some of those as I have a handful of Asian steels with nice slips that at present have no protection. Generally though all slips go in boxes and stored away, which is why I utterly adored the original perfect SC2's.

Also interested in the jumbo cases since I'm collecting the LOTR extended steels. Are they for with/without slips mate? :)

Yeah they fit a sealed LOTR jumbo steel no probs, you will see that the glue line is the way you like it lol

Hello, Kai sells the steelshell which is a patented product, we sell similar slipcovers at Steelbook Central depending on what your looking for. How do you like to store your steelbooks, with or without j card?

I open all of my steelbooks to watch and throw away the J-Card, so aside from the special editions from Blufans and Kimchi that I put in the fully enclosed cases available from Kimchi, I just use the smallest cases with the one open side with a small cutout for the thumb to easily remove the steelbook.

So I've gotten a bit 'lazy' and stopped protecting my steelbooks :muted:

Some of them are in poly bags that I want to replace, the rustling noise is annoying! Some of them are in those sleeves that are open on both sides, looks fine on a shelf, but there is a lack of rigidity in the sleeve therefore making the sleeve flex, no thanks! (But they do work well if you want to display the slipcard I must say). And some of them are in the steelshell design which were the last ones I experimented with. I was most pleased with the steelshell design, the close tabs worked very well and it's a overall sturdy design, it would be nice if they were slightly larger so I could display the j-card. So that's why I've went and placed an order with steelbook central and the SC3 design to see if they fit the bill.

I have found the SC3's to be kinda snug on sealed ones with J cards, even some open ones with J Cards.

Our current SC2 slipcover is for unsealed steels without J cards. The SC2 is a perfect fit where as the steelshell is very loose in comparison. Our Current SC2 has two thumb cut outs, would that be an issue for you?

They fit quite alot of sealed steelbooks with J cards, but as you know some steels have thicker shrinkrap and thicker J cards. Some steels that have the J card that go over the top and bottom of the steel, for example the oblivion steelbook can be a very tight fit. The New SC3's that we have planned are going to be made bigger and will be almost the same size as the SCF1.

Thanks for your order  Let us know what you think of our current SC3, I will send you a sample of the SCF1 to have a look at and see what you think

I doubt two thumb cut outs would bother me too much over the current slips with one. I wonder exactly how much smaller the SC2 is though as I don't feel the steelshell is very loose. Would they look strange sitting side-by-side on the shelf?

Does anyone have both and could take some pics?

Need help, looking for the G1(DVD size) poly bag ones, looking for some that you slide the steel from the top and after we can fold it over and stick it in the back, this way there's no plastic sticking up higher than the steel as those poly bags that you slide them from the side. when sliding from the side you cant fold the top over to not have that plastic higher than the steel.
