Hope I have this in the right place. I'd like to get some hard cases for my more valuable steels. They seem hard to get. A seller on Ebay Germany is selling them, but won't ship to Canada. but was unable to get any. Can anyone help?:(

I received my SCF1 slips yesterday. I am very pleased with them, however it is worth noting that my sealed Thor: The Dark World (Kimchi lenticular) and Captain America: The Winter Soldier (Nova lenticular) were very tight fits. I had to be extremely careful not to rip the packaging. They did fit, though - which is fantastic because I wasn't sure if they would.

@babylon Leon and her lenti have a ton of wiggle room. I don't have her full slip or any frozen crap (I am forced listen to the frozen sound track for 8hrs a day a hallmark when I'm scheduled to work, I despise frozen lmao). Memento and I saw the devil are pretty 'wide' though. I've been in e-mails with someone from SC because there was a small problem with my delivery, he was kind enough to let me know that they will be making SCF3s jumbo's (for ones that don't fit in SCF2). Hopefully he doesn't mind me telling you guys that lol.

@Prazzers Then you want the SCF1, in my opinion.

PS: sorry for frozen rant.. :)

Did you not purchase any SCF2's? they would of fitted easily in them

Hey guys, if you buy the fully enclosed covers is it easy to see the title on the spine or does it make it harder to see in your collection?

I'm not sure which one is best to get - the fully enclosed or 3 sioded with the spine open.

Any recommendations and also I hear that the Video Game Box is better than the Steelbook Central ones. Is this true??

You can see the titles fine on the fully enclosed ones. Make sure you don't have the 'fold' on the side of the spine, but even if you do you can still see the title clearly

Steelbook Central ones are highly recommended, along with kimchi's own ones. I haven't tried the Video Game boxes.

@digibooker No, video game box are not better than steelbook central. But they get the job done perfectly if you live in the U.S. and do not want to spend a lot of shipping. It costs $10 for 10 cases from video game box shipped to U.S. 10 SCF1s from SC costs around $19 shipped to U.S. Of course both are cheaper the more you buy in bulk.

But IMO the $9 difference is really worth it. Then again I guess it matters how many steelbooks you have because it's basically 20 cases from video game box vs 10 cases from SC (and if they're opened or sealed. VGBP won't fit sealed steelbooks with big j-cards/really tight fit). I have roughly 40 video game box protectors though and they get the job done perfectly. But I'll be buying from SC again once I run out of the new SCF1s.

How easy is it to take out your steelbook if you are using a fully enclosed steelbook protector??

I would think that it would be a bit annoying or fiddly to do it, as opposed to the open sided protector where the steelbook can be slid out easily.

Look forward to your experience with the fully enclosed ones/

Cheers

I personally love the fully enclosed ones, they are thick, good quality and obviously protect the entire steelbook from scratches, dust any damage. It takes two extra seconds to remove it from the box. I would never buy not fully enclosed now, they are simply the best.

I think a lot of collectors feel that the fully enclosed will take longer when removing a steelbook but this is not the case, you are talking a few seconds. When you take into account the added protection you get from the SCF1 we think it's worth the extra money. It's all about personal preference which is why steelbook Central is the only company to make a variety to suit everyone.

Hi everyone,

Just want to say thanks to all of you who have purchased our new slipcovers at steelbook central. We sold over 10,000 in the first week of release, which has blown our expectations sky high! we really appreciate all your support. We will be making a new SCF3 jumbo steelbook next year and a SCF4 DVD steelbook to complete our fully enclosed range. We will also be upgrading our SC4 and SC6 slipcovers to fall in line with our new stock and pricing. If anyone has any ideas of a different slipcover that we should make, let us know maybe a digibook slipcover?

@jeffster15 Check out the last post on page 54. I did a quick comparison of three steelbooks in new SCF1, old SCF1 and VGBP. If you want different/better picture lemme know but they fit great. What concerns do you have? All of my steels are opened so if I can help, lemme know.

@nicblue Ok just had a look through all of them, that clears it up better. Looks like a looser fit if unsealed and with out j-card, but what about with the j-card like the zavvi disney steels? I don't normal keep the j-card but do on certain movies such as the disney ones. Also is that the SCF2 on Her? Thanks
