Hope I have this in the right place. I'd like to get some hard cases for my more valuable steels. They seem hard to get. A seller on Ebay Germany is selling them, but won't ship to Canada. but was unable to get any. Can anyone help?:(

They look real good but personally I would have turned them around and had the spine on the open end to be able to see it unrestricted. I plan to get some from Bidou because they'll be cheaper for me here in the states with the shipping. :)

I agree with you on this. For me thats the whole draw of these side loading sleeves is that they leave the spine visible and unobstructed when on the shelf. Ive already got a bunch of vertical loading sleeves from Protected.de but they dont protect against shelf ware and also cover the spine which eeally washes it out and makes it hard to read in low ligh. To each his own of course, just my take. :)

These protective sleeves sold by this UK seller on ebay are the same as those sold on Movie Style (cheaper on MS, of course) ;)

If I am not mistaken, he is one of my customers.

Of course they are only available in the U.K, and shipping to Canada would put these near $2 per piece.

Any places in North America that has something like this?

Not at the moment. When you have 30 posts, you'll have access to the group buy section where u can join a group buy to get them at a better shipping price.

Are these sleeves any good for protection? As I've heard some are made out of material that causes errosion on steelbooks over time, only some plastics are ok.
Any help for a newbie to steelbooks is appreciated.

They are ok, better than nothing, but are a pain to get the steelbook in and out of plus they don't look very good on the shelf. I'd highly recommend those plastic slip cases over these.

Anyone wants to buy from ebay.co.uk pls make sure you buy 3 sided protective sleeves. So that the spine or the other side is the only one is open. There is 2 sided and 3 sided availble so be aware:D

I've through stages of loving, hating and back to loving the plastic bags. The slip cases are too expensive for me. I'm happy enough with the plastic bags as long as you close them tightly.

What they look like with the spine showing. Look soo much better than those crappy plastic bags lol.

Although I don't disagree, the amazing looking steelbook stands that Wreck did a group buy for won't take the three-sided slipcases as they increase the thickness too much! Also, the plastic bags are much cheaper... so if you only have 10 steelbooks, get the slipcases. If you only have expensive steelbooks, get the slipcases. If you have lots and lots, including lots of cheaper ones, get some bags too...

Hi mate yes I can recommend the sleeves sold by steelbook central they are very good although not the cheapest on the bay you get what you pay for if you want something more substantial there is a seller in the UK called slipsteel he sells proper sturdy clear plastic sleeves for steel books ideal for the. More expensive items although they cost 7.00 plus postage for ten hope this helps

I was able to get a polybag from steelbook-central and they are indeed high quality and resealable.
