Hope I have this in the right place. I'd like to get some hard cases for my more valuable steels. They seem hard to get. A seller on Ebay Germany is selling them, but won't ship to Canada. but was unable to get any. Can anyone help?

Many thanks for this - I've just ordered 77 of them (a set of 65 and a set of 12). It came to £54 including postage which I thought was pretty good, there's a 5% discount for registering a new account.

How long do they take to ship to the UK?

Seems to vary- I've read some people gettiing them is 5-6 days and others waiting 2-3 weeks.

So these sleeves wont damage your steelbooks, because some does.
I normally only use Poly Bags.

There is zero risk of damage with the 'Steel-Shells' from Germany- there is another style with 1 long folding flap on the spine that can scratch the steelbook.

Do those plastic sleeves featured in the yt video get cloudy over time?

No problems with mine so far although I've only had them a couple of months. I have not read of any clouding issues with them tho.

No- the ones from Germany are 100% safe.

Ordered 50 Steelshells just now. I got others about a week ago, but after more thought, I prefer to have only the opening on the spine unlike the ones that I got that have openings on both sides. I know it's silly now since I kind of wasted money, but I want the Steelshells after watching the video.

If they take a while to get to me like I've read they do for some people, at least I still have the others to do the job in the meantime. I'm sure I can sell the ones I haven't used at some point.

What are the best sleeves for heavier steelbooks such as Taiwan versions such as Prometheus and so on? The bags I have can barely fit the regualr sb's. Trying to bag my entire collection.

I was about to ask the same question. I use polybags from steelbook-central, but they don't fit on to steels with slips.

Can anybody here recommend polybags that fit comfortably on to steelbooks with thick slipcovers. If possible polybags with a sealing strip.

Slipsteel is good uk eBay seller good heavy weight 3 sided top loading cases great quality they fit your steels and slips in nice even VIVAS with slips IE I have tron and nemo with slips great fit.

I also have the raid and lawless in them I can slip the steelbook in and out no problems the slip stays in the case.

These new hard plastic sleeves seem to be the best right now. I have a few concerns though.

Do sealed steelbooks fit comfortably inside? Also, is there a chance that they could tear the shrink wrap taking the steel in and out of it?

The cases I mentioned in my last post fit most sealed but not the ones with front and back j cards.

TBH I prefer opening all my steel books to know they are perfect they then go in the slips I mentioned they are protected perfect j cards kept fresh as well
