Hope I have this in the right place. I'd like to get some hard cases for my more valuable steels. They seem hard to get. A seller on Ebay Germany is selling them, but won't ship to Canada. but was unable to get any. Can anyone help?:(

I use the Sheels from Blue-Steels (3 Sides closed) and the Kimchi ones (for sealed,Lenti and with full Slip, all Sides closed) - similar to the SCF1 steelbook protective case from Steelbook Central:thumbs:

I currently use 4 sides closed hard plastic cases, they are delivered flat and you just pop out the edges and slide in the steel. They are tight to the SB and protects all sides of the book.
I'll have to find you a link of the ones I use.

I use the Shells from Blu-Steels (3 Sides closed), and sometimes from
Steelbook Central. First I began with polybags ... but a few months I switched over to
those shells. I haven't got all my Steelbooks changed to Shells, that is quet expensive
to do all at once.

Not all Steels can be put in these 3 way clossed shells.
Especially not with thick J-Cards. So I have to order some 4 Sides Closed
versions and see if it can then. These can also be bought at both shops I mentioned above.

Can someone recommend some steelbook covers currently on ebay. I see ones made in germany and uk

Poly bag steelbooks

Guys I want to get some poly bags so when I've watch my film, I can seal it up to protect the steel book, where's the best place to buy them...

Not sure how much money you're looking to spend but I recently bought these http://www.ebay.com/itm/SCF1-Fully-Enclosed-Blu-ray-Steelbook-Protective-Slipcovers-Pack-of-10-/121229391847?pt=UK_CDsDVDs_DVDs_DVDs_GL&hash=item1c39d5b7e7
They haven't came in the mail yet...since they are from the UK and I live in the U.S. lol but I can't wait for them to come...hopefully it's money well spent (shipping fees to the u.s. hurts)

Oh and here's their actual website, ebay was just cheaper for the international shopper. http://www.steelbookcentral.com/

Probably should have a mod move this thread to steelbook support :p

I did use them earlier in 2013 when I began collection SB's. After a few months I began to use
those nice Shells.

But to answer your question .... I had no problems with them what so ever.
You have them for normal Steels, and larger ones for Jumbo steels.
The only reason I went to Shells, is that it looks nicer. But the half of my collection is still
Polly-bagged ;)

I am looking to buy those polycarbonate cases in bulk. Anyone know of a distributor that will sell in 100's?

If you are talking about alpha security cases then yes you can buy them in bulk. They are pricey though at almost $3 a piece and I think the cases came 70 to. I can't remember the exact website that I called but they will sell them to you but unless you own a business they won't sell you the key.

That being said I keep all of my steelbooks minus the jumbos in the cases.

I recently got some of blusteels steel shells and I think they are great. When I first started buying steelbooks years ago I thought people were crazy to worry about bagging them and protecting them. Just handle them carefully and they'll be fine. Then I pulled the trigger on the HMV Thor and it changed my outlook. I only bought 50 for my first order, but now I feel I want to use them for all of my steels, even the cheap US releases, so will be ordering more soon.

I definitely recommend the steel shells for opened steelbooks.
