So the no smoking begins

As my New Years resolution I wanted to give up smoking , said id do it for many years but this time around I've done it.

To be honest when I opened my eyes this morning the first thing I thought was why did I need to open my big mouth but much to my surprise 5 mins after that my 2 little one bring me in breakfast in bed , I asked what is this for and there reply was daddy cos you ain't smoking anymore .

From that point I haven't really found it that hard seeing as it means so much to them .

Stick with it bud. It gets a bit harder then it's a piece of piss, trust me. 3 years without a smoke and I don't even think about it any more, even when drinking etc, and I wonder why I did it for 20 years or so.

One of my friends used an e cig to help them . 2 years now no smoking.

Keep going for the family kids are not ďaft and know lots more than we giw em credit for .

My uncle used to smoke for thirty plus years but when he was told from the doctor the consequences it could lead to he did not think twice he quit and today hes enjoying life with family and kids and has no regrets so I wish everyone good luck in quiting and to have a healthy lifestyle all the best ninjas just keep strong and hope for the best... The first 6-8 months will be the hardest, and after that it's all downhill. I found that keeping a box of the thicker, square toothpicks to gnaw on helped me the most.

Almost 7 years since I quit tobacco, and I commend you for taking this step. Just remember, each day just say; I will not have a cigarette today and stick to that.
