We've seen the threads of "What movie would you like to see get steelbook treatment" at many forums.

Here's something a bit different.

"What movie were you surprised to see NOT get steelbook treatment."

Everything is getting it now, and many more catalog movies are coming ... but how about movies on blu-ray already that baffle you no retailer/etailer hasnt taken the gamble on pushing into steelbook.

I'll start with a few ...

HEAT-released as Steelbook in the meantime
Braveheart-released as a Steelbook in the meantime
Carlitos Way-released as Steelbook in the meantime

I second "Heat". Many people said Catalog titles would not work on SB-I disagree-I think there is quite a bit of opportunity, especially if they get out some of the genre hits that many people love.

I've always thought Heat would make an ideal digibook. Ther have been some great stories about the making of the film and some never before seen pictures would be great.

The Mad Max Trilogy would be good, even if the last one was a bit meah.

@dwt: btw quite a few on your list have been done as French or German Steels, Rescue Dawn, One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (Bube, Dame, König, Gras), King Kong, Con Air, Men in Black, Leon, Saving Private Ryan, The Hangover. You have listed a few classics in there mind. :)
