Didn't realise Skyfall was Amazon exclusive; thought I got mine from HMV and then Amazon picked copies up after HMV went under
I'll wait for a deluxe digipack, full slip steelbook or futurepak or something. This just looks tooo boring. The film deserves good artwork.
well for me i'll be up for this, haven't had a chance to see this either as funds have been tight of late.

I'm hoping for 2 things..... That this is only placeholder art and that Amazon sell it for the wrong price, a la Skyfall. Think I picked it up for £11.25 or something crazy like that! Lol
It was originally meant to be an HMV exclusive, but was around the time they knew they were in trouble, so didn't go ahead with it (and the release date was after they went in to administration). Amazon picked up the exclusive from them and, for anyone who had pre-ordered the Amaray version from them automatically upgraded their order to the steelbook version at the same price! I was one of those who benefitted from this, I am happy to say!
Had you pre-ordered the Amaray version with them before they picked up the exclusive steelbook from HMV? If so, then you may have benefitted like I did as I explained in my post above.

I just hope as with the release of Skyfall, which Amazon UK picked up after HMV went belly up, they handle this steelbook with a bit more care than they did with Skyfall, I had to get 3 to get a copy which didn't have a spine slash.....
If the finished steelbook is as is shown, then it will be a reluctant purchase, but a purchase nonetheless. (price permitting), And as the saying goes "It's like how much more black could this be?, and the answer is None, none more black.". Will be the perfect match for my This is Spinal Tap steelbook.

Each to their own. I thought it was a worthy successor to Skyfall myself, but there you go...
Therefore pleased to see a steelbook release (to keep on topic!).
Saw this last week, was quite underwhelmed even though I went in with low expectations. Elements of it are brilliant, but some of the action scenes are ludicrous and - worst of all - boring. The cinematography was also surprisingly muddy and dull looking to me eyes, which was something I definitely didn't expect!
That said I'd like to watch it again at home, the screening was full of talkers and phone watchers
