I actually like matte finishes on steelbooks. Think it feels nicer than glossy or satin ones. Don't mind the latter at all, but I do think matte just feels classy.

The problem with matte finish is they tend to look dull and not camera friendly. You struggle to get a nice picture. Also it is prone to paint chips especially on the corners.

1. No lossless audio in English

2. Missing bonus features BD

3. Matte finish

4. Too expensive

How can you say its too expensive? Specially this is trilogy and not the first film? 23 euro is a good price for me

I'm not fussed about the matt finish personally, and I suppose some embossing on the webs would be cool but either way I've ordered mine.

I especially like the fact that from the outside it appears to only feature the first film. I intend to remove 2 and 3 for the time being and replace them with the 2-disc DVD edition of part 1. I really like my steelbooks to only feature 1 film so I don't buy (until now) any sets etc.

I might then get the Futureshop versions of 2 and 3 later (as much as I hate the packaging) or not even bother at all.

It is at least a complete set in terms of content and has embossing. Btw, I didn't buy that too as it is indeed expensive.

I wouldn't be surprised as I got one too. If in doubt you could just check your Amazon account. Even if you can't read a word of German you can easily see if the status has changed and if you've got a reference number.

Just use google chrome...I just checked mine and it said "Shipping Soon", so maybe that's the message you got.

Received my copy this morning.

Disappointed that they slapped Spiderman right in the middle of the front and that on the spine it only says Spiderman and no 2 or 3 next to it - anyone picking it off the shelf might assume that it's only the first film.

Yes.

If you look at the actual photos in the thread, not the one at the top you'll see that it essentially looks like a steelbook for Spider-Man, complete with just the title on the spine, no mention of it being a trilogy anywhere on the case itself, just the cardboard.
