I used it today to pay a co-worker for my share of our BW's bill. Worked great.

I'm not sure they can disallow a competitor.. can we say anti-trust?

Yeah it's possible that they themselves have a contract with Paypal as they are owned by them, but still run separately. Perhaps a clause that prevents a competitor from being used. Years ago there was another payment provider but then with the increase of Paypal users that was the end of that, because once they were acquired the rules were rewritten again.
