Being a Sony release, I really hope they don't go down the 'poop art' road again

Good point. Will wait until I see the cover before I bite. Love the film and would hope no pop art cover. Haven't forgotten the embarrassment that was Lawrence of Arabia.....
Hopefully more like the Japanese Slipcover Blu ray I just got...
love this movie, too. but hard to watch.

Chris was played by River Phoenix. Great actor...and what happend to him. so sad.

Watching his work is celebration of his achievements. I like watching it (or Private Idaho, or (I believe a minor classic) Bogdonovich's The Thing Called Love). He was very talented.
when I was younger I used show 'my own private idaho' to my might be girl friend(s), if she did not like it, game over. no chance of releationship.
