interesting tidbit.

loads of the Star Trek got damaged back in the day but no confirmed number tbh. In the region of a few thousand units / a pallet load, as a result of a fork lift error!! The warehouse ended up destroying them as they were un-returnable and no good to send to customers

I don't see why not. When a decent steelbook gets unveiled for the sequel, this will surely become more and more sought after.

Not even close. If it were £50 I would have gone out of my way to have gotten several copies if that were the case.

even the FS version is struggling to bring $120 for New & sealed , but once May comes & Into darkness hits the streets, then you can bet your bottom $$ that Collectors , especially Star Trek ones will buy up what ever they can get their mits on !!

but the UK Version is a much better steel book as the contrast is much stronger ,and better between the Black & white when you sit it next to the FS version !!

Oh, but most importantly , there is more stickers on the UK version , for the Sticker enthusiasts

Definitely more stickers on the UK one (especially with the 'Holographic Experience' sticker, which not all copies had) but I dunno, I'd have to say the b/w contrast looks stronger on the FS one? (purer white, deeper black).

That said, I'm a regular at Specsavers so my eyesight isn't to be trusted :eek:

Yeah, now that I CAN see.

So actually the contrast on the FS version is TOO strong, cos the vapour trails have been whited out. So the UK one has more detail. I get it now.

I prefer the FS version much more than the Play.com. I like the deep cleaner whiter look on the steel.
