I'm also not a Trekkie, but I actually love the three recent films... I rewatched them all recently and honestly couldn't pick a favourite. The third is pretty different to the previous two, so I can see why some would either dislike it or prefer it... despite me not being a fan of the original films, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed Beyond, because it had that classic Trek feel to it.

Any idea if they'll be doing a fourth film?

Got mine and it had so much glue on the j card and stuck to the lenticular (who thought that was a good idea) and it ripped j card slightly and made horrible marks on lenticular my OCD was :ohno::mad::punch::banghead::arghh:

I find it strange though that when we get re-boots or even late sequels or prequels (ala Star Wars) certain fans absolutely hate them, and don't give them a chance.
I don't think it's so much that they don't give them a chance I think it's more the people doing the film don't understand the source material to begin with. I can think of only 7 TV shows of the top of my head (if you ignore Star Trek) that actually made great films. Most of the rest being spectacular fails.

The Fugitive 1993 (Warner)
Callan 1974 ((Thorn EMI)
Quatermass and the Pit 1967 (Hammer)
The Abominable Snowman 1958 (Hammer)
The Quatermass Xperiment 1957 (Hammer)
Quatermass 11 1959 (Hammer)
On the Buses 1970 (Hammer)

All superb films in their own right. And every bit the equal of the TV shows they were from

But as i said I'm really struggling to think of any others.. On the other hand I can give you hundreds of fails.

Maybe that why I like the trek reboots. Because I don't give a **** about the source material lol

As i said making successful films from a TV show is pretty hard. It's rarely achieved and only a few of them go on to be genuine cinema classics like The Wrath of Khan or Quatermass and the Pit. Most end up in cinema hell....

From WP:

Pine and Quinto have signed contracts to return as Kirk and Spock for a fourth film. In July 2016, Abrams confirmed plans for a fourth film and stated that Chris Hemsworth would return as Kirk's father, George, whom he played in the prologue of the first film. Later that month, Paramount confirmed the return of Hemsworth, as well as most of the Beyond cast, producers Abrams and Lindsey Weber, and writers J. D. Payne and Patrick McKay. That same month, Abrams said that Yelchin's role will not be recast.

Awesome! Thanks for the info. :)

I completely forgot Hemsworth played Kirk's dad in the first film until I rewatched it recently... don't think I even knew who he was back in 2009 though. Can't say I'm surprised that they're wanting to bring him back in to the franchise now that he's a well known actor.

As for Anton... hopefully they actually write him out in some way, rather than just ignoring his character's whereabouts. Would be pretty cool if they said he got promoted to captain his own spacecraft or something.

I still can't believe that this hasn't sold out, it is by far the definitive edition to get (so far).
I love the lenti, I just wish we. Hold get a re-release of Star Trek with a better cover to match Into Dsrkness & this one.

Received mine today after much anticipation to find the lenticular magnet totally scratched up under the shrink wrap and even worse under the J card.

QC must of been on break when mine passed through. Honestly looks like it's been stuck on the bottom of a shelf somewhere

I contacted Zoom today about my order that was shipped on 18th November and told them I not got delivery yet

You have to wait 10 working days after despatch of your order before you contact them about your order in regards to non delivery

They replied this afternoon and told me I will be sent a replacement order free of charge
I got the despatch email this evening

My previous order that was listed in my account as shipped on 18th November but I never got a despatch email which was a bit strange
I did get a despatch email this evening for my replacement order

UK to Ireland postal delivery is usually 4-6 days most times with a few taking 8-10 days

I would love to know what carrier they use for international address I hope it's not Asendia as they are a disaster
