I know many people are not keen on the border, spine and back cover, but I am really looking forward to this. I would probably preferred without the border but it was never going to put me off getting it. But seeing the finished product, I think it looks a lot better than I imagined. The fact that it is gold coloured rather than a shade of yellow, and the border being so thin, the debossing, the rear looking quite stylish...i think this is going to be good! My Zoom box has been posted so I can't wait to see all the other covers.
You know, I was initially disappointed that the new steelbook doesn't have the poster art centred like the previous steel...but looking at all the posters on Google images, it seems that Khan is supposed to be off-centre. And on examination of the US steel above, it looks like the art has been digitally cloned to extend it out on the left hand side. One more reason I am looking forward to this UK version.
I also love how art that has been much neglected since the films' release is now getting beautifully reprinted on these covers. It's almost like the upgrade to bluray itself, I'm noticing things on the poster I had never seen before. Like the two little men running in the centre.
