Got my copy yesterday. Prequel trilogy hasn't shown up yet. I like this much better in hand than in pictures. The finish is different than I though, it sort of is metallic matte for the most part with some scattered gloss on the text and lightsaber blade. I dig it. I love the concept art paintings too. It's a nice set. Much nicer than people made it out to be. Going to sit down with my little boy and watch Ep IV this weekend.

I think that was maybe actually my fault :naughty:

I've had two lots now from Amazon of both, latest received this morning, and had issues with them all.

Original order, this one had a spineslash, and prequel had a few faint scratches on Yoda's face. Replacement order, this one had a spineslash again, and the prequel had one faint scratch on the front and a paint chip on the top.

And that's not to mention Robocop had shrinkwrap tears, and scores in those areas where the finish was removed.

I'm maybe being a little OCD on Star Wars, but when you're paying £60 for two steels I think you're entitled to expect mint copies.

This was part of the response I got a few hours ago:

As you've received a damaged item twice, we'd like to look into this further to make sure it doesn't happen again to you or to other customers.

To properly check on the item, we’ll need to carry out a physical check of the item in our Fulfilment Centre. I’ve requested that someone from our Fulfilment Team checks our inventory for the steelbooks and requested them to update us whether the stock is damaged or these items are damaged during delivery.

We’ll get back to you within 2 business days with an update on this. According to the response from the Fulfilment Centre we'll take appropriate action on your order.

I just received mine. MINT:oohyeah: BTW I do not have a scanner and we need images scanned for the CM. Can anybody help out. Thanks

I've paid close to £30 for a single disc steelbook at retail, so I don't think it's too bad here, but each to their own :)

If these were amazing, I don't think people would mind paying £30 for them. The thing is they aren't. The designs aren't groundbreaking (individuals with poster art would be better), they lack the extras of the main boxset and you get the feeling these will get released again down the line. Worth £19.99 not £29.99 in my opinion.
