What frustrates me about a lot of these recent blufans releases is that they choose really good poster art without thinking about repitition. Yes I love all of these images individually but it is the same photo of Leia on the back of the DL, the front of the DL, and front of the steelbook.

I don't really know who is to blame or if it can even be avoided. Are blufans just not seeing the repitition and going for the strongest poster images? Are these the "official" stock photos that get approved and all other creative stuff is rejected?

I do love these releases but I wish they had more variety to them.

Blufans is not to blame for any of the posters, that's for sure. Blufans and others are working with what's available to them or what the studios will let them use, which from what I've seen so far is usually what the studios already own.

Hmm I usually go with the DL, and probably will again with this, but I'm not liking the fact that the front art is very similar to the steelbook.

I like them, just wish they weren't that zoomed in. Luke's head only survived in the front artwork for the steel lol

(I'm referring to the DL... no forehead cutting on the SL hmmm)

Blufans is not to blame for any of the posters, that's for sure. Blufans and others are working with what's available to them or what the studios will let them use, which from what I've seen so far is usually what the studios already own.

I didn't mean they were to blame for the poster art but that maybe they are responsible for not choosing designs with enough variation from what is available.

Well, put it this way... there are versions of both posters where you can see his entire head. But I guess they had to make a decision whether to chop the bottom or the top to fit it on the slip, and they obviously went with the top.
