Sadly to say- it’s a Star Wars Steelbook.
It’ll either be something awful, or the same artwork you get on a standard BluRay release.

Either way, it’s just not worth it.

That's true, but it's Star Wars and will sell boat loads. I remember when I saw Star Wars in '77 and all we had was the Marvel comic. How times have changed.

Looks fantastic.

I really hope a Steelbook release does show the main release poster.

It's a fabulous piece of design with the echo of Darth Vader in the composition.

I don’t know- I haven’t gotten any of the Star Wars Steelbooks yet. If it’s not the terrible design, then it’s the horrible Bluray transfer of the film that’s he deal-breaker.

No, I didn’t like the Blufans one.
I feel like- when the Steelbook just recycles the BluRay cover, then there’s no point to the medium from having to be separate from the normal release. I would’ve preferred the Drew Struzand D23 Exclusive artwork for the Force Awakens Steelbook release. Alas, no one used that.

I get where you are coming from but I do like the images used on blufans for both TFA and R1.
I'd be surprised if Luke isn't on the new Steelbook design.......
