I enjoyed TLJ and i'm gonna buy a steelbook too ( if i can find a matching design hahah)Yeah.... that shocked me.
I mean- I'M obviously a fan of Star Wars- and while I'm not in the camp of hating The Last Jedi- I did enjoy it more than I disliked it.
I don't know- I feel like the word "BEST" should never be used lightly. Rarely is anything the "BEST".

If someone said Last Jedi was their favorite movie of 2017 then it wouldnt shock me. But if that's the best you've seen, then either you dont watch a lot of movies in general or you havent seen many sci-fi films in 2017.

So what is a matching steelbook?
In Canada, and the U.S. so far 6 of the 7 steelbook releases have had black backgrounds with evil helmets (3), evil faces in makeup (2), and an evil battle droid I guess.
The other one had a black background with a muppet on the cover. The worst film of the 7.
So which evil helmet or evil face in makeup did people want on a black background for this release to make it match?
Did you want Snoke? Or did you want Captain Phasma?

Not sure if you meant it but i'll agree it's the best fantasy film of 2017. But i think of Last Jedi as more sci-fi than fantasy. As far as sci-fi goes, i'll pick Blade Runner. It's just pure sci-fi porn. I mean it was like 3 hrs and I wanted more. But for me- the top spot of 2017 goes to The Shape of Water.

I dont speak for others but when i say matching steelbook here's what i mean (not my pics)So what is a matching steelbook?
Don't get me wrong. I believe you and to some extent i agree with the last statement. Now, if this was the movie you enjoyed the most of all time, then no one can argue against that. If it was your favorite film of 2017, then no one can say otherwise. But to claim it to be the best? That's easily arguable.Ive seen plenty of films in 2017. I liked it i thought it was awesome i would much rather watch TLJ than the countless marvel movies.
Actually, that can be said about any film, I should add

So you see the pattern? I wish they had continued this because this is what i have. Now putting the Last Jedi next to these will completely ruin it; even though Last Jedi has better artwork than them.![]()

Not necessarily. Could've been anyone really. Just not Kylo Ren for obvious reasons. So in other words you wanted Snoke.![]()
Yea most people dont seperate, but i dont know. Sometimes i feel like i'm being unfair if i do. Like for example, i feel like it'd be unfair to compare I,Tonya to the Last Jedi or Bade Runner 2049.Haha! No- I'm completely serious. I think The Shape of Water was my favorite film of 2017. I don't place films in separate categories, but I think Blade Runner 2049 is also on my top 10 list- at least in the Top 5.
2049 did the impossible and made me like Blade Runner- since I really don't like the first film. 2049 took the fascinating aesthetic of the original Blade Runner, and added meaningful characters- a fitting antagonist- story arcs, and a sense of completion that the first film was lacking.... also the first film was littered with an excessive amount of cuts- all of them bad, in my opinion... so... there's also that. xD
The Last Jedi was good, though. Not great. Not terrible. Just good.

So how come there hasnt been any announcement from Asian retailers? NM, Kimchi, BF? Or have i missed the threads?
Because i dont want this art; Europe's WWA is the closest to what i wanted, but they also have the droids on the cover...completely unnecessary!
An alien could never have what it wants![]()
The Star Wars premium releases have always come a few months after the DVD hits stores. I imagine this is Disney not wanting any interference on how their initial DVD/blu-ray sales go. I imagine they make a bigger margin on those, but really have no idea.So how come there hasnt been any announcement from Asian retailers? NM, Kimchi, BF? Or have i missed the threads?

True. I agree. The Star Wars premium releases have always come a few months after the DVD hits stores. I imagine this is Disney not wanting any interference on how their initial DVD/blu-ray sales go. I imagine they make a bigger margin on those, but really have no idea.
They know full well that people willing to drop down $60+ on a premium release will also buy the blu ray on release day if they have to wait months to get the premium.
The first one in a while to not be delivered on release day. And of course it's TLJ.
