Good news indeed. I'm aware there is a Blu-ray of 'Starship Troopers' with german dub, it must have been an import, not sure from where though.
Could you provide a source that the movie is off the index? I'd appreciate it.

There is an official german release, but it was not allowed to be advertised and sold unless you asked for it during restriction time. Pretty much every european Import Blu-ray has the german dub on it (UK, IT,...)

Could you provide a source that the movie is off the index? I'd appreciate it.

Source for everything around german ratings, versions, etc.. The movie now just needs to get an official rating (might be 16 or 18) and than it can be sold in new Releases.

Ah, thank you for the link and clarification. Interesting also, 'From Dusk Till Dawn' seems to be off the index now as well. Can we expect an uncut steelbook for this classic as well?

FDTD is a different distributor (StudioCanal) whereas Starship Troopers is BuenaVista.

Yes i'm aware of that. But StudioCanal also releases steelbooks, quite plenty to be honest. And now that 'From Dusk Till Dawn' is off the index, i personally think the chances are high for an uncut steelbook. This is what usually happens in Germany, once a movie is off the index, these movies release uncut in various editions, steelbook, mediabook etc. (Tanz der Teufel, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, example)

Yeah, not going to support (CeDe) for this kind of behavior. Btw. is it a german or swiss release, has that been clarified yet? If it's from the german distributor, we should see this one in various stores (amazon etc.).
