OK, so it's like the 'virus of unknown origin', only most are really dead, and not just using it as excuse to not work.
But I wanna know, is all they're gonna do the whole series, is sit/walk around looking somber and playing 'theater', or are there gonna be murders and cannibals and stuff? Because it looks like a Lifetime melodrama.

Is anyone else unable to order the blu-ray version? 4K seems to be the only available one.
It's exactly like the book. To the letter. The show is more of a mood piece. The Virus is basically a short lived flu that causes heart attacks. No zombies here.
Humanity then becomes the aggressor when faced with the challenges of survival.
Yes, there's murder but nothing terribly gruesome. Yes, there are some suspenseful moments in it but that's mainly driven by the direction and editing rather than any actual plot scenario outside of coping with no heat, light, food or power.
It's about retaining your connection to one another, overcoming adversity and staying true to ones humanity.
All that lifetime fun stuff
I liked it alot. Read the book in 2016.
They stayed mostly faithful to the source material and it's not often you can say that about the entertainment industry. Not for everyone I guess.
