SteelBook™ Art Cards

I came across some of these SteelBook Art Cards from a contact of mine and have been meaning to post some pics for a while now. They are all metal and finished to the same standard as a SteelBook. The Assassins Creed one is even embossed

As far as I know they were only ever prototypes, but there may be some that made it to production.

Anyone else got any? Post pics if you have

I really wish SteelBook™ would get a bit more creative. Theres so much potential for unique designs and paint finishes with the standard design case they created, yet we get the same and lesser quality than when they started. They dont have to be extra unique every time but every once in a while present something fresh thats going to get collectors excited to be collectors. These metal art cards are awesome yet they get scrapped.

It's a shame the Art Cards didn't come to anything but I guess that's just as much down to retailer uptake as it is anything else. If a retailer doesn't feel the necessity to include them (at an extra cost) then Scanavo wouldn't make them I suppose?

They really are good quality so maybe a kimchi, BF, PA etc might be tempted to include them some day down the line.

Yep thats true. I can definitely see one of the Asian retailers nutting up and going for some of these as the "extra gift" instead of multiple artcards, postcards, booklet and numbered card. I imagine all of those things combined wouldn't cost as much as a few metal artcards? And I can see the metal cards as the items that hold the numbering with the etching technology they have now of limited releases instead of the plastic card. Also a instead of magnet lenticulars, have magnet metal artcards so you can switch up the look of your steel when you want. Sooo many possibilities

Asians retailers (Kimchi, BF, Plain, Zeta) may not know about these so maybe if we plant the idea in their head, they just may go for it. It all starts with us making our voice heard and Kimchi is the best bet to hear us out I think.

These metal cards could be a serious game changer.
