They don't need to IMO. Amazons price match policy is the best out there and actually works. You do not have to read the fine print and works on all items offered by them and not just some. Combined with their price drops that happen on most releases and great CS, I'd go their way every time.

I've spent ALOT with Zavvi and got a 5% code. Doesnt seem fair when every one else is getting between 15-20%!

In all fairness, they are randomised. They don't HAVE to give any discount if they so wish. And something is better than nothing.

I got 12% Discount

I see some got the 20%

Its better than noting as I was awaiting for a code to get a few pre orders cheaper

I suspect the less you spend the bigger the discount the code is to get you to spend more

I wonder is it just luck or do they do it that way or pure randomised

Nope, I ordered a £6.99 steel and only got 5%, so I think they are just random. Although I cancelled it afterwards, could not really be bothered for the extra 35p!

Noticed they started OOS-ing lots of sale items just as soon as the codes went out (unless it's just coincidence and they actually did go OOS). Prices going back to RRP too on a lot of things. Seems they limit what's in stock when they give away these codes, to try and focus sales on particular items that aren't selling too well. Clever, but kinda annoying (I had something in my basket that is now 'unavailable' and was about to buy it last night).
