Steelbooks with no inside artwork

Hi all, first post on these forums.

I previously had the UK Last Samurai steelbook (premium collection), until I saw there is a red steelbook that resembles the amaray artwork. Being unique I decided to order that one too and it arrived today.

Now here's my issue. I always watch unboxing videos on youtube first to get a look at the back underneath the card, and especially the inside. There seemed to be two versions of this steel - an amazon.ca one with inside artwork, and a bestbuy exclusive without any. I ordered the former, and yet mine had no art inside

This is also the case with The Matrix steel I bought (my post count isn't high enough to add pictures - it's the version with the baby on the front), as well as the german Inception. Both had inside artwork in an unboxing video, yet neither of mine did.

I think it's shamefully lazy when a company leaves the inside blank and I have to resort to inserting custom prints, but my question is how can two identical steelbooks from the same company differ inside? Is it a case of printing inside art only for the first batch and not subsequent stock?

Yes with the Warner Steels it was simply the first print had interior artwork and the other prints didn't. Sometimes they sell them cheaper if they are a reprint but not always. The best bet is to have a look through the Steelbook forum and there should be plenty of info there to help make sure you get the edition you want. Welcome to the forum!
