I knew right by the poster and cast this would be something I'd like, and it turned out to be an excellent, stylish and full of great music and love for the 80's crime drama. Filmed and presented with flare and slick coolness, that was missing from recent Coen & wife rather dry films Drive-Away Dolls and Honey Don't, this made me love every scene! Especially the graciously vicious Kristen Ritter.
It's as 'woke' and 'diverse' as aforementioned films, maybe even a bit much for a small town, but it doesn't ferl as forced and contrived, as in other new movies.

Wanting to see who created something so lovable, found out it's written and directed by a woman with franco-lebanese roots – that's why there are such characters in the movie, and a wife of chilean model-actress Lorenza Izzo, that was with Ana de Armas in Knock Knock, among other things – that's why lesbian relationship feels real.

Anyway, I loved it, and it's now one of my favorites this year!
