Prices on the US website are without the tax which is applied to the item and postage at checkout. Last time I checked it would have cost £185 to import a copy from amazon US...
Believe me, it's not worth the risk for the sake of saving £15, taking into account amazon's appalling packaging...
It's beyond bad.. I've actually received items in the UK in an unpadded paper bag. Amazon are desperate to appear as striving to protect the environment at the expense of terrible customer experience. It must be costing them millions due to high levels of returns and refunds. It also raises the question of how many of their customer returns end up in landfill, as is often the case with other retailers. How's that helping the environment?
At the end of the day, Amazon can clearly afford to lose money due to customer returns whilst appearing to contribute towards protecting the environment with their 'environmentally friendly' packaging.
'Hey, let's make ourselves look good on the surface whilst creating other issues in the background'...
Thanks for the link. Amazon I think does a better job shipping in the U.S. because I get mint items shipped probably 90% of the time and returning damaged items is so easy. I hear US customers complain sometimes and wonder is it because I live close to one of there shipping hubs?
I hope they keep releasing original series like this I’d love to see a similar 4K Ozark Deluxe Package!
