It depends on the quality of the transfer. Some Blu-rays can look fantastic while others aren't as good. A bad Blu-ray can look bad on a 65" screen whereas it wouldn't be as noticeable on a smaller screen.
That is why 4K is now here, for bigger screens there will be less noticeable flaws. I don't have a 10 foot screen but I can imagine a bad blu-ray would not look good on there!

I'm thinking I'd better stick with my 10 year old 42" Panasonic Viera Plasma TV and my standard Sony blu-ray player for as long as I can. The ever changing technology makes it quite difficult when it comes to choosing something new. It's easier to make a decision on something new once the old equipment breaks.:)

Thats pretty much what got me to switch. My blu-ray player was ******** the bed and decided to get a 4k player and then upgrade the PJ.

You know I've been meaning to ask you when you became a fan of 4K.
I was reading an old thread recently and now I can't remember which one it was, but I found a lot of the comments genuinely funny because times have changed.

Your comments are what I remember the most. You commented often about being dead set against ever upgrading to 4K and these days I see a lot of your posts referring to steelbooks as an easy pass because they don't have 4K or because a 4K release is imminent. Now I guess I know what changed.:).

So are you pleased overall with how various types of blu-rays look on the larger screen? 2D, 3D and 4K?

I think you have me confused with another person. Upgrading is just something that everyone does over time. I never complained about it.

Still not convinced 4K is the way to go. I have 4K versions of the Divergent series and I havent noticed much difference between this and blu-ray. No wow factor at all. 3D on the other hand has the wow factor. It adds to the movie making you feel like you are in it. Anyway I am not going to be rushing out to buy 4K when I can get a 3D version instead.

I think many people are so caught up in resolution that it actually takes away from the film. Just watch the damn thing and enjoy it. So glad I have no interest in video screen grabs and pixel counting like many on various groups. I think Blu-ray is good enough.

Same here. I am not going to be rebuying a bunch of 4K movies. I just don't see the worth in it. I enjoy watching movies, not counting pixels. LOL.
Remember, remember....... The good ol' days ;)

If you don't have a 4k TV then 4k is abit redundant at this stage. If you do or you're going to upgrade then it's a good choice. You're not gonna buy every film in 4k unless the price comes right down but it's worth it for movies that are visually spectacular. For example, I don't think Forest Gump would be as high on the 4k want list than say the Transformers movies

Nope not confused. And I hope you don't think I'm bashing you!
I just think it's interesting that over time, opinions change.

Of course opinions change. I didnt think I would see much of a difference because that is what all the experts were saying. Still not buying nearly as much as I did with blu ray. Only getting my must haves. In fact I am more interested in 3D than 4k. Much more immersive IMO.

Can anyone with the Harley Quinn steelbook verify its contents for me? I bought that portion from eBay (all I cared about was 4K disc and the Harley slipbox) and just received it in what looks to be manufacture-sealed. However after opening the contents (in which everything else was brand new), the steelbook itself revealed only a single disc even though there's clearly a cutout for two. Worse, the disc is just theatrical. I specifically wanted the extended cut, and the steelbook even advertises it on front.

Did I get jipped? :(

Only 1 disc. Only 4k disc.

That's unfortunate. Really misleading to advertise "EXTENDED CUT" right on the steelbook. I'm assuming the disc is somewhere else from the original box set? And non-4k too?

You did not get jipped.

I know what you mean but the ''Harley Quinn Edition 4K'' technically should only be available from purchasing with Boxset (which does contain the Extended Cut within it). HDzeta Boxsets contain exclusive material to the Box itself.

If you buy it separately from the Boxset(because it's not made to be purchased on its own) you will definitely be missing some other content.
The 2D Disk Extended Cut is available within the Boxset or separately from the other editions which were available to purchase as a single sale;
~ Lenticular Joker Edition
or
~ Lenticular Dead Shot Edition

Can anyone advise how long it takes HDZeta to dispatch?
Got the Joker lenti as a first time purchase from the website last week and the status has stayed as ‘payment success’.....no tracking number etc...

Cheers

In late August I ordered the Joker edition and after 8 days of no change in status I sent an emal to [email protected] asking about my order. I don't recall getting a response but the next day I checked my account and a tracking number was now there.

Just ordered the Joker Edition myself last night. Man, the crazy train was in full steam when I tried to pay. Timed out twice on me and on the third attempt, somehow got two copies loaded in my account. Successfully paid for one but could not delete the other. Tried their "Contact Us" link on website and timed out FOUR TIMES. Finally I just sent an email to them explaining the issue.
Gonna be interesting to see what the final results will be (and what ships).

Looking back over this thread, and from what I could see, surprised no-one picked up on the different colour green between Harley Quinns arms on the steelbook cover.

I checked out a video clip as I was thinking of picking this up and it looks like they cut Harleys silhouette out but never matched the green under her arms to the green of the steelbook

Looks rather sh1t if I'm honest.
