I am a big fan of Bluray but after seeing some UHD discs (revenant, martian) on a big screen (100'') I can honestly say it's worth it
I can not understand people still buy DVD's in 2016 :bag:

One of my friends still buys DVD's and he enjoys movies. He's got about 500 DVD's so he has interest in movies and not a casual once a month movie watcher which I can undersand don't care about the High Definition.I asked him why he didn't want to convert to Blu-ray. His response was if he started buying Blu-rays it meant that he had to convert his 500 DVD collection to Bluray, and because of that he couldn't be bothered LOL  He was a completionist on his movies. Either ALL DVD or ALL Bluray, one of the other and he just decided to keep the DVD's. So his TV is still the old standard 720p, not the 1080p. Money wasn't the issue for him. He just couldn't be bothered lol

4K players are still to expensive for the masses. the cheapest I've seen is $200 (marked down from $400 for Black Friday). And is Samsung still the only people selling them?

The Phillips one was selling for under $100 for a while on thursday I think as well. Saw a deal for an Xbox One S for $150. There are deals to be had if you find them :)

I will start buying 4K UHD films when they start selling them for $5 each like how they do for blu-rays currently and I will only buy those that I really like. Lesson learned from buying too much blu-rays.

This is going to be $24.99 on release day but if you got this for the BOGO50% deal, BB isn't honoring the lowest price. Happened to me on Jason Bourne so I would assume same will happen here.

How do you know it's gonna be $24.99? I highly doubt it since it's 4k and also DC. Best Buy will try their best to milk out everything they can on this release.
And I agree with you on the price match.

My bad. I was looking at the wrong thing so it won't be $24.99. Sorry

From a personal standpoint, the biggest issue with 4K is the benefit. Or lack their of. The increased resolution only works depending on the size of your screen and your viewing distance. You tend to need a big TV or sit right up on it to benefit. Not sure how many people that will apply to. A home theater? Definitely. But even if you have a 55 inch TV, you'll need to sit closer than 7-8 feet away

I understand why people who don't have 4k setups are frustrated. Why pay more for something I don't need? Well, for $34.99, you can probably import a steelbook from somewhere else for about the same price with no 4k. If this one doesn't float your boat, there are others to choose from. Unless you got this for half price when Best Buy had the promo glitch. Then there is no reason to complain lol.
