Yeah, Sups was a disappointment... Rewatched on streaming just to make sure and liked it less  ... But willing to give this new entry a go

I was the other way, hated Superman when I watched it a year ago but watched it the other night in prep for Supergirl and felt maybe I was too harsh on it before (if I were rating it now I'd probably give it a 6.5 but still no where near as good as Man of Steel obviously)

Gunn's DCU is going to be a massive fail though and early reviews for Supergirl aren't great either.

I can't believe how badly Gunn has dropped the ball, it's been one colossal mistake after another.

Fire Cavill, Creature commandos is your first release, make an awful Superman film that doesn't understand Superman and Supergirl is your second major film instead of something Batman. Corenswet was at least somewhat decent casting while Alcock looks and sounds like a terrible miscast.

Big time. Never even come close to thinking about walking out of a cinema screen (and I've seen Ghost Rider on the big screen)... yet I was mighty close to leaving in that first hour. Picks up a little after but not nearly enough to save it. I thought the whole thing was a mess from casting to direction, tone, dialogue, even the story they were trying to tell.

If I'm honest Supergirl looks more of the same so I'll probably swerve unless I hear good things in here... you guys are amazingly trustworthy bunch by and large, proven by all the good things said about Masters of the Universe... we shall see but I can't help feeling that MOTU should of been the superhero the powers that be focused on this summer.
