@Inb4LoKi HDN is a place for people to discuss movies and their love of collecting them. If you're going to be a idiot on here, feel free to go somewhere else.
@Inb4LoKi Please, don't forget to spell out what you are trying to say, I can't figure it out either - you are just coming across as obnoxious. What's your point?
Saw the film earlier and thought it was actually pretty good, at a first time watch infinitely better than Superman was albeit they've very different films (Supergirl is much darker in tone)
Milky Alcock was great, they've absolutely nailed the casting with her. Lobo didn't really do it for me so glad he was only a side piece character
Oh boy. Just got back from a screening of this... It's safe to say I'm getting little worried about the future of the DCU now.
I had a lot of issues with it. It's not horrible... but nowhere near the level that these movies need to be right now.
Positives. Lobo is great. I wish this was a lobo movie instead actually.
It for sure has a Gotg vibe that I was digging, it just sadly isn't as fun so it feels like lesser imitation of it.
I liked Milly. She was good. And I enjoyed every scene with Clark.
I'm going into big spoilers here so don't open until after:
I found it so incredibly frustrating that Supergirl stabs Krem and kills him at the end. Literally the whole movie she hasn't killed anyone. She had MANY chances to Kill Krem and his men the whole film and doesn't... and it would have save so many lives!!! And then in the end she just kills him, like its nothing. Going against everything she was preaching the entire film. The bad guys are child abducting r*pists so i feel like the audience would have almost respected it more if she was taking these guys out John Wick style. Lazer blast to the head. bam bam bam. Movie over.
There wasn't even any emotion (like in Man of Steel when Clark takes a life and kills Zod). Its just nothing "...and moving on".
Her character development didn't work at all for me.
Ok im starting to rant. But I'm very curious how others are feeling right now.
I got the feeling throughout the film the reason she was trying to stop the other girl from killing is because she (Kara) had killed already in her past and that's why killing the big bad at the end came easy to her
