Goddamnit, I caved in.

I managed to resist to the Monsters Inc Kimchi exclusive, but I couldn't say "NO!!!" this one.

When I considered getting this Tangled Kimchi exclusive or not when it was first announced here, I kept saying to myself that if Zavvi releases its own version in a few weeks/months as part of their Disney collection, I would be so pissed I bought an extra-expensive Asian one — at the end of the day, this is at least €17 more expensive than what Zavvi could possibly price its exclusives.

But then I'm looking at this gorgeous lenticular, the fact there's only 1300 of them, and the little girl inside of this big man is happy with the stickers and especially the story book . I'm fine with the cover, too : it's not really original, that's for sure, but it's good looking nonetheless (it's popular for a reason), and with a glossy finish it could look pretty great.

Regarding the Monster Inc Kimchi exclusive, Zavvi has many less titles to choose from for their Pixar collection, there are only 14 Pixar movies (including Finding Nemo and Monsters University), so it's a safe bet Monsters Inc is going to pop up eventually. And I know that there's always the German Monsters Inc steelbook.

For Tangled, that's a completely different situation since there are 50 Disney titles, so it's not a 100% sure thing Zavvi is going to do Tangled (though deep down I know they will). I didn't want to have regrets.

Launching the pre-order process during Breaking Bad though ... not cool kimchi, not cool .

Same happened to me for T2 and Le Gande Bleu 1/4 slipnever got email but was charged and recieved T2 so should b ok for LGB

hmmm... if i "pre-ordered" previous kimchi exclusives and chose quarter slips for bleu and monsters, should i stick with that route on this release or choose the much better lenticular slip this time around ? anyone else in this situation where they want to keep with the quarter slips but feel this one is severely lacking ?

Got quarter for bleu and monsters, but this time i choose lenticular!

btw. kimchi now got over $200 from me, but i dont received a single sb.And i still have to wait weeks. hopefully it works out!

i also ask that question because most of my disney steels remain sealed and even though sometimes i dont like the artwork, i still feel that art on the steel should be displayed over the slip/lenticular (which is why i tend to go with quarter slips so the image of the steel isn't covered)

but i do think i will cave and go with the lenticular this time (its so amazing!)... thanks for everyones input

That's definitely me too. But the fact that I need to stop spending so much buying both the 1/4 slip and the lenticular, and I feel the 1/4 slip isn't particularly impressive, I decided to only pick up the lenticular (as it appears you have as well )

just ordered both slips.
I wonder if it will sell out at all? I cant believe monsters inc is still available, with such limited numbers the scalpers are missing a trick.
probably putting a lot of people off that you have to pay unfront.
